GORGEOUS VIEWS AND THE COMFORTS OF HOME

  • 5 of 5
With all the rave reviews, we had high hopes, and it didn't disappoint! You have a scenic drive up to the home but once you arrive, you still have great views of the colorful gardens and a panoramic views of the Strait of Juan. We were also greeted by hummingbirds darting around the area.

Once we got into the house, we were still in love with our choice. The home was simply, yet wonderfully decorated, while maintaining a great deal of comfort. After a long day out hiking or whale watching, it was a great feeling knowing we were headed back to that house to unwind. Plus we were able to enjoy gorgeous sunsets either from the back deck or from the comfort of the couch. The house was very clean and adequately stocked with everything you might needed. From laundry detergent to spices, it was nice to know we didn't have to worry about packing or purchasing those items.

We loved the convenience of Port Angeles. There are so many places to explore on the peninsula that it this home was a great mid-point to see all there was to see! We would highly recommend this beautiful location to anyone. And if we ever make it back to Washington, we know where we are staying!

ALL ASPECTS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

  • 5 of 5
Everything was absolutely amazing: The view of the green surroundings, the lake and the mountains while looking at a distance, Ginny's flowers, plants and the garden that are around the cottage, the warmth and hospitality of Ginny, the interior of the cottage which nicely combined the rustic and modern elements, the amenities (laundry & extra blanket & kitchen supplies & cooking spices & flashlight & binocular & hiking books), the nature, beauty and serenity in Port Angeles.....everything was absolutely fabulous! We have stayed in several VRBO’s throughout previous years and this cottage is one of the coziest and well maintained little houses! Ginny, by far, is the best owner who is caring and available if you need to contact her for any issues that might arise. If you’re looking for a kind owner, a well maintained, cute-n-lil’ modern-n-rustic house, fabulous cool-n-chilly air to breathe during the summer months, would like to enjoy the fresh greenery and experience the beauty and serenity of your surroundings, then this cottage is absolutely the one for you!

BEAUTIFUL COTTAGE

  • 5 of 5
We had an excellent and a memorable stay at this rental property. The property was even nicer than we expected, and everything was clean and well stocked, the view was beautiful, it was quiet, and there was a large back yard. The room was comfortable; the kitchen had everything you would ever need. The owners have large feeders outside and every kind of bird shows up throughout the day. Ginny and Roger are friendly hosts who have put a lot of thought into the needs of renters. The cottage is well equipped with all the basics and with useful extras like coffee, sugar, oil, condiments and other cooking staples. The bottle of wine and chocolates were a great touch. I would definitely recommend this rental to others.

THIS WAS, IN FACT, THE PERFECT PLACE TO STAY!

  • 5 of 5
You would think that the panoramic view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca would be the best feature of this charming cottage, but no, it's the amazing thought and planning of the living space that made it so very comfortable...,if not luxurious. From the fully equipped kitchen, to the Turkish spa towels, it was 5 days of pleasure for me. If you are looking for a 5 star experience for a most reasonable price, then look no further. You will not be disappointed!

WARM HOME, GREAT VIEWS, PERFECT FOR ONP

  • 5 of 5
The view was breathtaking and we enjoyed the quiet nights watching the boats on the straight and deer in the distance!
The house was very warm, clean, and adorable. The kitchen was well appointed and all amenities thoughtfully offered. Ginny was very kind and respectful, and it was fun to hear about her love for hiking, as we spent a few days exploring the park. The house is the perfect location for enjoying the park-we easily got to La Push and the Hoh Rainforest on a one day trip. We'd stay again and again! We also were celebrating our anniversary and happy to see a bottle of bubbley chilling in the fridge from Ginny in honor of the fun time!

BEAUTIFUL COTTAGE, INCREDIBLE VIEW

  • 5 of 5
Just entering this charming, exceptionally clean and well-appointed cottage lets you know this is something special. Nicely decorated with new furnishings, shining corner kitchen, nice-sized bath and spacious bedroom with a comfortable queen bed encased in luxurious linens. The 180 degree view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, with Port Angeles just to the left, Dungeness Spit to the right, and Victoria BC (lights at night) straight ahead will have you looking outside continually. The grounds outside are a pastoral mix, complete with friendly dogs and the occasional deer or elk wandering by.
Only 10 minutes from downtown PA and close enough to drive to Hurricane Ridge, ocean beaches or beaches on the Strait. The kitchen is great to have, as the restaurants in Port Angeles leave a bit to be desired!
The cabin was absolutely quiet at night, with an efficient heating system we enjoyed when we returned from a cold afternoon on the beach.
It's easy to see why this cabin is booked often. Reserve it now, and enjoy when you visit!!

Car: recommended

Our location is ideal for those who want to take advantage of the Olympic National Park. Our central location makes for easy access to hiking trails and beautiful park features such as the Lake Crescent Lodge, Marymere Falls and Sol Duc Falls west of Port Angeles. East of us at an equal distance are more trails into the park and the national forest. For those who are interested in traveling to Victoria, B.C., the ferry service is a 20 minute drive from the cottage. Grocery stores, restaurants and movie theaters are within a 15 minute drive of the cottage.
