Townhome Chesapeake Bay and Rappahannock River & Windmill Pt Marina

I can't find the words to express how we all felt when we walked in the door - were we in an issue of "House Beautiful"? The condo was huge, decorated beautifully, kitchen had state of the art appliances and full stocked with all anyone would need to cook and eat....and the bedrooms and baths - Wow!. We didn't want to leave - entertained the idea of staying an extra week (if it wasn't booked) but a couple of us had to come back to work. Thank you so very much, Bob and Mary Hoy, for sharing your beautiful place at Windmill Point with us. It was such a peaceful vacation - the water, local restaurants, quilt shops and just riding around the area. Oh, and we got a lot of sewing done too!! Thanks again and we hope to come back in the spring of 2013.

This townhouse unit was very nice. Beautifully furnished and well decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with all needed items. The beds were very comfortable and the baths were clean and looked like new. We enjoyed the close proximity of the Golden Eagle & King Carter Golf Courses. The pool at the Marina was very refreshing after golf. We would have liked to spent more time at the beautiful beach but Golf came first. The owners were wonderful with helpful hints about the area and suggestions for dining out. We would recommend this rental. Certainly 5 STARS.

this property was everything & more than what the wonderful owners described. the house was perfect. spotless, beautifully decorated & thoughtfully stocked. i truly feel that the owners wanted you to feel that you were guests at their home. the beach was less than a five minute walk & that was with a 4-5-6 & 8 year old. many different beach spots to chose from. then if you were tired of the sand & salt water (like that could happen) you can walk 2 minutes to the beautiful pool with a very friendly staff. this was great for rinsing off the kids before we walked back to house. on day two one of the maintaince workers saw that the younger kids were tired & gave them a ride back on the golf cart. they became instant friends & the kids went looking for mr. george everyday after that just to say hello.
mr. & mrs bob left lists of some of their favorite local hangouts along with everything else that was offered within a 40 mile radios. we were so content & happy with just hanging that the only shopping we did was hit the local seafood & vegy stands. but if one needed anything it could be found within 25 minutes or less. i am now thinking of buying my own town house in windmill point. i will most certainly be back. it was a magical two weeks that went by way to fast.
