We love Mammoth for winter sports and especially in the summer. We wanted a place that would really feel like we were getting away from the SoCal environment and feel like a true, luxurious escape. This place has better amenities than our regular house!
even the blow up matress for the couch was really comfy. we have stayed here twice and will try to again on our next Mammoth trip. even though its an uphill walk to Canyon lodge I did it in my ski boots without too much problem. love the fact that its one of the first bus stops to get to the mountain so the bus is empty and one of the first stops coming home so you dont have to ride too long on a stinky crowded bus at the end of a long ski day.
This is our second stay at this great condone. I look forward to staying again and we are kinda picky. The owner even sent me some clothes I forgot in the wash at no charge. Perfectly located and a true treasure. My family loves this place and we have stayed at many throughout the years
Fully loaded with everything needed for a relaxing stay in the mountains. Clean and cosy, nice kitchen and bathrooms. Games for the family to play together, and three screens for everyone to watch their own thing. The (free!) shuttle stop is right in front of the house, and if you feel like walking, the Village is also just an easy ten minute walk away. Plenty of great restaurants. Skiing in the winter, mountain biking in the summer. There is really no excuse to get bored in Mammoth. Even Yosemite is just an easy day trip away.
We love staying here and happily recommend this to anyone looking for a mountain holiday.
We loved this condo It was clean, roomy with many extras. We loved the sheets & towels The kitchen extras like a filled spice rack & coffee making essentials made it seem like homeThe board games there to use made our evenings fun. I would go again & recommend it to anyone who wants a fun filled vacation The owner is great to work with & checked to make sure all was in order upon our arrival
This unit is directly in front of the bus stop to the Village & to Canyon Lodge. It was so easy & just perfect for us since those were basically the two places we went during our visit! Very convenient! There are connections to other shuttle buses from the Village too, but we didn't use them. The heated floors in the bathroom were a wonderful treat! The humidifiers were also a big perk. Thank you for supplying those! We also used the jacuzzi and the kids enjoyed getting hot cocoa from the front office. :)
The only two things that I would say needed improvement was the amount of lighting in the bedrooms. Very dim. And also the heater took quite a while to get going once we were in the unit and would turn it up.
Other than that, it really was a great experience and we very much enjoyed our stay! Thank you!
The owner is incredibly nice and thoughtful. She even wrote a detailed letter in advance of our stay detailing the best places to stop for food/gas, how to get around the city, and other tips from personal experience. I'd highly reccommend this to anyone looking to stay in the area!
We had an excellent time, and will remember it for many years. The condo exceeded our expectations beyond imagination. We had everything in the condo, and we even debated whether to venture out or just stay at home. My brother managed to join us and we were 4 adults (with 2 kids, and infant). The kids loved every moment. The bunk bed, and Peter Pan DVDs kept them busy (or made us breathe easy!!). Though kids didn't play any board games, but the fact that those games were there kept their excitement.
The kitchen is supremely ornate, that led even me to show off my kitchen skills (I cut the salad, and have been bragging about it :-) ). My wife loved everything about the kitchen, and the result is that I have a list of things to buy for our kitchen now!
The location of the unit is great. Stop 77 was the highlight for my 1 yr old daughter, who would wait for the bus and would begin to yell in excitement the moment she saw it. We took that bus and went to 'The Village' which was a great evening to conclude one of our days.
The unit is well stuffed with all the extras (incl trash bags, soaps, towels, bed linens), and we never had to worry about anything. We were not expecting fans in the room, but it was hot and when we found them, it was blissful.
The unit is very well maintained, and all the reviews that I read are so very true. Further, we loved the city so much that we definitely plan to visit there again in different season. Looks like this city is made for all the seasons, and best nestled amidst nature.
