A charming place with exceptionally helpful owners

This is a spacious, sunny, well-appointed, well-located apartment. We were very fortunate to be able to stay for an extended period. We greatly enjoyed our time and were very well looked after by John Koeppel and his family. The 4th floor of a lovely historic building on a quiet street, the apartment is roomy, with high ceilings, period features, a large kitchen and spacious bedrooms. It was clean and well-maintained. There is a convenient washing machine and dryer on the same floor. The beds are high-quality, and are very comfortable. It has been newly, and sensitively, renovated. Everything works well.
John was very kind and helpful, making sure we had all we needed, helping with advice on things to see and managing logistics, and we enjoyed chatting to him and his family when we met from time to time on our way in or out. One of their many kindnesses was allowing us to leave our 2 year old's stroller folded in the hall by the front door rather than lugging it upstairs.
The walk to the subway is brief, and passes interesting Harlem sights, and there are convenient stores, a Starbucks, grocery, pharmacy, H&M clothes, and a nice little cupcake shop nearby.
