Remember you can fly not only into San Juan Airport (SJU) but also into Borinquen International Airport (BQN) via United, Jet Blue and Spirit. BQN is only a short 25 minutes drive to Quebradillas.
Note: There is a another house within our 2 fenced acres. Even if it is occupied at the time of your stay, there is a significant distance from one house to the other so everyone has plenty of 'elbow room.'
HIstoric Nature of Property & Area: The historic nature of the property adds to one's enjoyment. The photos say it all. The road outside of the property used to be the Spanish railroad right of way where the tracks ran. You can take an easy walk on the paved road in either direction and even talk with the long-time neighbors who have vivid memories of when they were children and would at times sneak a ride on the cargo car to the displeasure of their 'steaming-mad' parents. At the end of HW 113 at the intersection with HW 2, you can lounge in the park (called El Merendero de Guajataca) and take in more of the mesmerizing views of the blue ocean.
Of course you may have a hard time getting away from the upstairs balcony as you sit right in front of the 200 foot cliff towering above the below ocean. No fear of Tsunamis at that elevation. Marvel at the white tail birds & pelicans soar in front of you at eye level in the am. There's even a stairway down the face of the cliff to the beach below but it's only for the fit to hike back up and remember your descent down is at your own risk. Only those in good physical condition should consider going down and as you can well appreciate, you must do at your own risk. It's a virtual jungle & incredibly interesting with all types & forms of vegetation.

Stayed there at the end of Dec 2013 and enjoyed it very much. Very quite, away from tourist traps, nothing like falling asleep with the sound of crashing waves, yes, the view is just like in the photos! The bedrooms, beds and bathroom are very comfortable, there is no full side kitchen, just a kitchenette in the master bedroom but it was enough for us, the house do have a full size refrigerator and washing machine. The water heater in the bathroom could use an upgrade as water wasnt very hot like I like it. I will be staying there again in the future. We walked in the evenings to a couple local restaurants down the street for appetaizers and cocktails...
We know the area well and when we saw the house was available, We called right away and so happy we did! We'd known about the property but had no idea how beautiful, cozy, and private it would be. Our goal was to find a view to see the full moonrise and we did that plus more-It was so peaceful to drive down your long driveway to realize your on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean with a walk way to a private beach. On the street you live on, you have great local resturants where you LITERALLY can get the catch of the day from local fisherman!
The view is so good you never want to leave home but if you do there are so many options near by for adventure. Socorro, Armando, and Sigfrido are amazing to work with and we can't wait to go back!! We loved our stay and we are missing it so bad...Thank you for letting us have such a relaxing and romantic vacation!! Socorro and Armando...the moonrise was over water in clear view just beside the cliff!!! Perfect. See you soon, Carlos and Regina~
The property is very beautiful, and the views are just amazing.
We were lucky that the owners, Armando & Socorro, were in town. We were greeted by Socorro, who had brought along milk, bread, spread, oranges and water for us. It was very thoughtful as we were really hungry after the day's travel.
Armando came by later to greet us; he advised us on must see places nearby and was very friendly too.
The apartment in itself is adorably cozy, very well decorated and maintained. It does not have a separate kitchen room, but a functional kitchenette with all the necessary amenities. The linens and blankets in the rooms were very soft and comfy (the blanket was just so soft, loved it!). The shower head was a little low on pressure, but we were able to bathe, no issues.
The balcony is where we had the best time. Sweeping views of the ocean, with palm trees and cliffs, and lovely breeze. The windows have a mesh net of sorts which prevents the mosquitoes from coming in but lets the breeze sweep in. At night we saw lit-up cruise ships on the horizon (Armando told us when to look for them). We did not go down the walkway to the ocean as it was rainy during our stay so a little slippery, but we absolutely loved the days we spent here.
I would absolutely recommend this place is you are visiting PR (West coast is way more fun than the east coast). Must go to Ola Lola's (lovely place nearby for food and drinks, very friendly). The caves were also a must go along with the various beaches (surf friendly).
Armando was very considerate of our change in plans due to last minute car rental cancellation (Avis cancelled our confirmed rental a day before). He adjusted the cost by some for the one night we were unable to make it to the place due to the cancellation.
If I do ever go back to PR, um staying here again for sure.
Thanks Armando and Socorro! Loved your place.

Where do I begin? We loved the place so much we did not want to leave! We are a family of 5 and find it very difficult to find a spacious hotel room at a reasonable price. We are so glad we found this place! We rented both the upstairs and downstairs apartments for a family reunion. Our family and friends were VERY impressed by the property and the magnificient views! The apartments were very clean, spacious, and well-appointed with all of the amenities (including a washer and dryer). The grounds were very spacious and well cared for. There are steps on the property which lead half-way down the cliff to an observation area - a photographer's paradise! The owners, Armando and Socorro thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Prior to our visit they e-mailed us all the necessary information which included phone numbers, directions, tourist information and a list of local restaurants. Sigfrido, the property manager, met us at the house when we arrived and was readily available if we had any questions. Although a car is recommended if you want to explore the area, the beach and local restaurants are within walking distance. We had dinner at Brisas del Guajataca, a local restaurant within walking distance of the house. The food was incredible - authentic Puerto Rican cuisine at a reasonable price. The owners were very friendly and spoke both Spanish and English. Do not hesitate to rent this property! The owners are very honest and accomodating. We cannnot wait to return!
Our HomeAway Vacation home is located in the area of Quebradillas known as Guajataca. The property was actually part of the railroad system built by the Spanish dating back to the 1800s. The house itself is located next to the elevated railroad siding for railroad cars used to transport suger cane. In fact a large rubber tree next to Calle Estacion marks the spot where the weighing station was located before loading the sugar can on the railroad cars for transport to the processing mills. The house sits about 20 yards from the edge of the cliff and from your balcony, living room and master bedroom you have nothing but deep royal blue sea in front of you. At about midnight you'll see the brightly illuminated cruise ships passing on the horizon heading to San Juan, Puerto Rico's capital city. Two lush acres surround the property with privacy. There's plenty of room to walk around and take in the enchanting ocean views. In Feb & March whales migrate a short distance off shore!!!!!
