Great beach, Great property, Fantastic owners

Overall, I was really pleased with this rental and had no worries during my stay. We arrived late due to our flight and it took forever to get through customs because our bags didn't make the connection, but Peter and his wife waited patiently for us. He drove us to the rental, let us a get a good night's rest and came back the next morning to shuttle us back to the airport and pick-up our rental car. He even gave us a little tour of the surrounding areas and recommended restaurants, etc. You really do need a rental car if you want to go to downtown, or paradise island.
The Beach!!!: Oh I really loved the beach, literally just walk through the back yard, step up over a small hill and voila, you're on the beach. Peter has 4 beach chairs, a couple snorkeling masks for kids, and a couple boogie boards. The sand is great. There are some rock formations or coral just off the shore so it can be a little iffy at high tide, but during the day, you can see all the formations and they break the waves so you can just relax in the water without getting bounced around. There is a long stretch of beach shared by just a few people, and a restaurant (Nirvana) a couple hundred feet down the beach to the East. Very relaxing, affordable, good food, but just a reminder, it's island life, so they take their time. But we had a little corona commercial on the beach, lounging in their padded chairs and sipping on a drink.

Dining: Nirvana by day. At night, I recommend sunset, we went to Compass Pointe, just a quick drive. They have good food and a great view of the sunset. Sandyport has a couple: Twisted Lime.

Downtown: Allow an hour to drive to Paradise Island/Atlantis. I'm so glad we didn't stay there. It is mostly crowded. Not enough restaurants for all the people during high season and expensive. And no real beach; they have a lagoon, but so crowded.

Rental Layout: It is in a small, gated community. Maybe 6-8 units. The unit is situated on the 2nd & 3rd levels of the community property. 2 upstairs bedrooms, both with in suite bathrooms. The master bedroom overlooks the backyard, beach and ocean, with a small patio. Caveat: This is obviously not for someone who has a disability due to the access via stairs. The main level has a half bath, kitchen, and large open layout for the living and dining room. There is a larger patio off the main living room, overlooking the ocean.

Amenities: AC worked well. Kitchen, Stove, Large Fridge. Wifi worked well throughout the home

Excellent all the Way Around!

My 4 kids and I met my husband who is currently in Afghanistan for a 10 day vacation in the Bahamas. Peter met us at the airport and took 2 trips to get all of us and our luggage to the condo. He also drove us to the grocery store the same day we arrivied. The view and beach were spectacular! The beach was very private and was excellent for swimming and snorkeling. We had plenty of room for the 6 of us with all the necessities.
Peter was extremely helpful with providing ideas for our entertainment while we were there and to make sure we had everything we needed. He provided us with a cell phone so we could contact him if we needed anything-including directions. The condo was gated so we did not have outside traffic and people walking through the yard which was wonderful. We came out one morning and had 2 parrots sitting on the railing and had incredible views of the sunset on the beach. Peter also picked us up to take us to the airport when it was time to leave. The area was beautiful and we would definitely rent from Peter again. Peter-thank you for making our trip more enjoyable than we could ever imagine!

Relaxing Family Vacation

My husband and I, along with our kids (age 14 and 27) took a long awaited family vacation. When we arrived, Peter picked us up at the airport and brought us to the house. After helping with the luggage, he took my son and husband to the grocery store as well, which was a GREAT help. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of cookware. The place has wi-fi available which helped us keep in touch. Phone calls here can be expensive. Peter was VERY helpful in providing information and checked up on us periodically to ensure we had all we needed. He even offered to help us get out and sight see. We ended up renting a car, but the bus does stop nearby if you prefer to do it that way.

We felt the location was great. It is on the beach which is nice as many places are across the street here. The beach was pretty private. We rarely saw people out, and if so, only about 5-7 people. The water was gorgeous, and my husband and kids really enjoyed the reefs that were right there for snorkeling. The home is next to Nirvana, which has live music and good food within walking distance. Compass Point is also nearby. The home is on the western end, away from the crowds and cruise ships. We loved the peaceful area! Traveller's Rest is also right up the road, and the food there was fantastic! All in all, this was a wonderful vacation spent with family in a great location! We would recommend Peter and his place to anyone.

BEST VACATION EVER!!!

Wow! what can I saw about Peter and the condo? The condo is as described, very roomy, the view is wonderful and the breezes are fantastic. The beach is quiet and the clear blue water is out of this world, I have two grown daughters in their 20's and my oldest had her boyfriend with us and they loved swimning and snorkeling and just enjoying the sun. Peter was great and gave me helpful information before arriving he could not meet us at the airport so he sent a friend to take us to the condo and make sure we were settled in. How nice is that? The condo is at the west part of Nassau so I would suggest a car to see the island, we just stayed on Bay St. and we could get to the grocery store, Arawak Cays, Andastra Gardens and downtown.Just down the street from the condo is Compass Point nice place to have drinks and food, (great pizza) and half price in the afternoon. You must try the food at the fish fry (Arawak Cays) the food is fantastic try Goldie's or "Oh Andros" both are great, you must try conch salad and Kalik beer.. Also have a Skye Juice at Goldies it is fantastic and the owner is very nice we helped him celebrate our waitresses birthday. We felt the people of the Bahamas were some of the nicest and friendliest we have ever met, we never felt unsafe anywhere we went. We spent one afternoon at the Andastra Gardens and it was beautiful the birds will eat right out of your hands. For a fun time try the booze cruise good way to see some sights and meet people. Before you leave make sure you catch a sunset. Thank you again Peter for everything...

Our Finding Old Friends Vacation

My husband is a former resident of Nassau not familiar with Love Beach so was a little doubtful when I rented this two bedroom town house out of the city centre. All is good though, the owner picked us up from the airport (took us back to the airport when it was time to leave) then took us to the grocery store so we could buy food and offered help if we wanted a car. This is a gated property so I felt safe. The smell and feel of the ocean with the breeze at night was so wonderful we never had to turn the air conditioner. The living room was comfortable and we enjoyed hockey games in the evening as well as internet. The beach is awesome especially for snorkelling. The sunsets were the most beautiful I have ever seen. The most people I saw on the beach were between 12 & 20, almost a private beach. It is easy to walk to Compass Point Inn from the beach for a meal, sports bar or some evening entertainment. Following one day of being at this residence we e-mailed photos home, family called immediately to join us for part of our vacation. We had a great time visiting and reconnecting with friends not seen for decades...in fact we plan to return so I can experience Junkanoo at Christmas.
