Located near Heavenly Hana on approximately 3 acres... Isolated from the other side of Maui by the famous road to Hana, far from Waikiki, a secluded cottage awaits you. . The Hana Coast is the last undeveloped tropical paradise on Maui. Literally in the middle of the jungle.
This cottage consists of one bedroom, one bath with a fully equipped modern kitchen. The unit has everything you come to expect.. Dish, 40' TV, phone (free to US and Canada), limited satellite internet, without the high rises and traffic you find in most tourist areas on the island.
The cottage is about 25 minutes from Hana, isolated from the rest of the island, it is truly the last undeveloped tropical paradise on Maui. Views of spectacular waterfalls, the rugged Hana shoreline, and some of the best beaches on the island can only begin to describe what awaits you on your stay in Hana.
Come out for a short stay or spend your vacation here, either way you will experience Maui as you have never imagined!
2 night minimum stay.

Regarding the satellite internet service supplied by Starband.net, this is adequate for checking emails, reading news, weather reports and basic internet browsing as the system has limited bandwidth and a usage cap similar to many cell phones. In summary it is not adequate to download videos or upload large files and not good for services such as Skype and Google phone.
Maria had everything covered and has taken care of all the small details. I hope to stay here again and completely recommend to others.
My partner and I stayed at this cottage for 5 nights. What a great way to end a two week vacation to Maui. Maria is fabulous. She has everything you could need waiting for you, plus she is a fun lady to get to know if you have a chance. The cottage is very sweet, and Lower Nahiku is enchanted. Hana and environs is quite beautiful. Go 20 miles or so past Hana one day to see how courageous and skilled a driver you are. It's all beautiful. We give top stars to the Thai restaurant in town across from the school grounds and to the Luana Spa behind it. Hamoa Beach is gorgeous. We had spent a week in Kaanapali and then five days in Hana. It made for a very balanced trip to Maui, but the Hana time was the sweetest.
My husband and I spent a weekend at the Nahiku Cottage and loved every moment of our stay. The cottage is incredible. Maria has thought of everything for this condo! From the spices and coffee, to the bbq grill and boogie boards, if you forget something on your trip, I'm sure Maria has it available to borrow during your stay. We borrowed the beach chairs, boogie boards, and cooler and had a great beach day! And after wearing yourself out from all the fun during the day, you'll be able to relax on one of the most comfortable beds EVER.
We only stayed two nights, and I was wishing for at least one more night. So the next time we visit I'll make sure to book at least three nights. :)
Thanks for everything Maria. We hope to see you again soon!

Ditto to all the glowing reviews. We found Maria and her cottage to be delightful glowing stars in our getaway week! She directed us to the best Thai food ever, beautiful hikes and beaches and amazing, really amazing lemon bars and coconut ice cream at Glen's (try chocolate chili if you like a kick!) She has everything you need- first aid kit, cottonballs, safety pins, travel brochures, satellite TV, ........somewhere in the cottage. Pipwai Trail to the falls was awesome, and the Red Sand Beach was worth finding- not dangerous as touted if you have common sense and are careful. Thanks Maria!
The cottage has everything we needed and is quiet, nice and super clean. Maria gave us lots of suggestions of things to do and where to eat: banana bread was the best, the Thai restaurant in town had the best Pad Thai and curry chicken, we went twice!
We stayed 4 nights we went to Haleakak Park : Pipiwai trail is a MUST, red sand beach, black sand beach, lava tube, it is amazing!
Thank you Maria for making our stay so memorable!

Maria truly is the "hostess with the mostest."
As I said in the title, if the cottage doesn't have it, chances are you likely won't need it.
To say that this cottage was thoughtfully appointed would be a ridiculous understatement. There was everything that we could possibly ask for, and more. Maria introduced us to sights and experiences that others have mentioned before me, and they truly made our trip that much more memorable. We still dream about the banana bread and clay oven pizza she directed us to, and are still pretty bummed we didn't get the chance to try that coconut ice cream everyone else is raving about!
This cottage will definitely be our #1 place to stay in Maui from now on.
Thanks for the memories, Maria!
