The Red Feather Ranch is set on 2.74 acres and is centrally located between Santa Cruz and Monterey. Heavily treed, shade and lots of sunshine. Bring your horses! 2 pipe corals and covered stalls with runs available. Enjoy listening to the hummingbirds while taking in the Fremont Peak views from your private back porch. Pick fresh veggies and fruit from your own garden box, when in season. Relax around the outside fire pit or the raging fire inside your livingroom, the main source of heat. Ride your horse from the property to Manzanita park where there are 100's of acres to cover. Mountain bike or jog through this beautiful piece of land, where you can see the ocean. Gilroy outlets are only 20 minutes away, Monterey Bay Aquarium is 30 minutes, Santa Cruz Boardwalk is 30 minutes, The road to the Redwoods is an hour. The Big trees Train ride from the redwoods to the Boardwalk and back to your car. Laguna Seca, Pebble Beach, Sea Otter Classic, Antiques, it's all in your backyard.
Our friendly residents: The property houses a few really nice and cool chickens. All colors and flavors of hens and a couple of friendly roosters. There may be fresh farm eggs waiting in your refridgerator. There are also a dog, cat and a horse that live on the property.
Things to do in the surrounding areas:
We are so centrally located to almost everything you could possible want to see, do, touch or eat and drink.
Many brochures and maps are located in the unit for your use.
In fact, we are near so many fabulous places to eat, it's hard to choose which one to sample first.
One of many favorites would be Phil's Fish Market in Moss Landing. A place not to be missed for great seafood and pasta dishes. And so much more on the menu to choose from.
The Whole Enchilada has great mexican food and the bar next door is waiting for you to leave your dollar bill on the ceiling. A 'must' for everyone who goes.
Monterey and Carmel have some excellent restaurants as well.
San Juan Bautista is 20 minutes away with tons of antiques shops and there are usually festivals happening almost monthly during the summer months in town.
The Gilroy Garlic festival is 20 minutes close and you will sample some of the most delicious foods.
The Morgan Hill Mushroom Mardi Gras is another favorite of the locals. Great food and lots of arts and crafts.
The Taste of Morgan Hill is a wine lovers delight. And the wineries, too many to list, are endless in the bay area alone.

The California Salinas Rodeo is 15 minutes from the property. And if you like excitement, this is the place to be for the one week a year it's in town. Something for everyone at the Rodeo.
The Egyptian Museum in San Jose is a great place to visit with the kids.
The Aloha Outrigger Races in Santa Cruz at the Wharf; with live music, vendors, and great wine and food.
Great America Amusement Park in San Jose is definately a go to just for it's roller coasters.
Gilroy Gardens amusement park is just 20 minutes from the property and a great place to take the kids.
Bring your dirt bikes and head on over to the Hollister Hills for a ton of fun in the sun.
Don't forget about the Sea Otter Classic at Laguna Seca for the 4 days its in town. It has riding trails from there to Fort Ord, which is now a national monument. A must see!
Elkhorn Slough is a bird sanctuary and has great walking trails and you can rent kayaks and go out paddling.
Castroville is known for its Artichokes, well they have a great Artichoke festival every year that is fabulous for stocking up on those artichokes and sampling some fine new receipes.
The Watsonville Strawberry festival, always sweet to attend.
And some of our local festivals are very well known around the bay area.
There is easy access to transit bus stop from the property as well as a park and ride station.
