The Outback Cottages offer a glimpse of Southern Door County where everything doesn't have to be so hectic. Sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery on your private deck or around your campfire pit. The cottage is located within a mile of beautiful public sand beaches at Haines Park and Sand Bay North Town Park, and is within 5 miles of Potawatomi State Park. Also near Idlewild golf course and several restaurants.

In Brussels, take a left on County C and go about 12 miles.

Turn left on County SB, also known as May/Zirbel Road.

Continue going straight for about 2 miles (do not follow County SB to the right towards Jellystone Park), the Outback cottage will be on your left after a sharp left turn.

I could never say enough about this private getaway. The location is fantastic. The owners Pam and Galen are so friendly and treat us like family. This was our second trip to their cottages. We also went in August 2011. The price is the best you'll find in the area and you don't have to contend with elevators, parking, and limited space like you do in a hotel. I love the privacy of being in our own little cottage vs hotel/motel living. We love that there's a grill out back and everything you need in the kitchen to cook if you wish. One of the biggest selling points also is, we get to bring our dog. He LOVES it there. He also loves the owner's dog Cote. He gets a warm welcome from Cote every trip. The dog beach is also nearby and a pleasant little hike from the car to the beach. Our dog made so many new canine friends there. The cottages are just a few minutes from Sturgeon Bay. Nice shopping strip there, and beautiful bay scenery. The property has a laundry facility which is so handy. We used it both trips. Beautifully groomed grounds and nice sunrises from the deck. We love the privacy, price, welcoming committee, and location. It's perfect!! Enjoy your stay there!! You won't regret it!!

Greg and I traveled from central Illinois to enjoy the fall in Door County. Pam and Galen were helpful before I arrived, providing information by phone and e-mail.Once we arrived, they greeted us and provided more information about the area.

Everything was just as described when we arrived. The cottage was clean, the property was clean and inviting, and we had all of the amenities listed. We were treated well upon arrival and during our stay.

We spent 8 days enjoying the cottage and outdoor activities in the parks of Door County. We travel with our dogs -- who enjoyed EVERYTHING about the cottage, the property, and the parks. They met lots of new friends, canine and people.

I have let my friends and family know that this property is a valued one!

Our 2nd stay at Outback Cottages

We returned to Outback Cottages this August because we enjoyed it so much last year. Pam and Galen are so friendly and welcoming. They had a bucket of toys for our kids when we got there-bubbles, badmitton, etc. The property is secluded with lots of grassy fields surrounding the cottages. Our dog loved to wander around and explore the wilderness. Pam let our kids help fill the bird-feeders and she even cut some of her flowers for my daughter. At night, we had fun making campfires in the firepit and eating s'mores. My husband and I enjoyed sitting on the back deck looking at the gorgeous night sky after the kids fell asleep. We really love the peaceful area, but usually take a day to travel up into the peninsula and do more tourist-y activities. Not far away is 'The Farm' where our kids got to feed baby goats, hold kittens, see a peacock spread its feathers, and even try milking a mama goat. We plan to return again next year and hope to get some family or friends to join us!
