Sjögläntan is located on 8900 square meter of land, including a small forrest, a large lawn area for games and relaxing as well as your own private beach with a dock/pier. Also, situated right on the lake is a private sauna with a large window viewing the lake.

There is also a swingset, some outdoor games, a boat with a motor and lifevests for guests to use free of charge.

Fishing: Guest who want to use the boat to go fishing have to obtain a fishing permit (information on where to get a permit is available in the house). During the period of August 1st and October 1st, there is no fishing allowed from a boat. Guests can, however, fish from land or the pier.

The home is located on a large property with a small private forrest, a small private beach with a sauna on the lake and a pier with a motorboat for guests to use free of charge. There is also a large lawn area. The house is away from the road but conveniently located close to a large city and the roads are paved.

Other Activities: The home is very close to Pippi Longstockingäs home 'Vimmerby' which is a very popular attraction. There is also a western town 'High Chapparal' nearby that is fun to visit. The city of Jönköping has many cozy restaurants,especially worth a visit are the restaurants on the pier.

We booked the summerhouse on the strength of the website descriptions,and the reality outstripped what were already high expectations on our part. The house was full of Swedish character and incredibly cosy,whilst the gardens and lake were every bit as picturesque as we'd expected and hoped for.
Add in the boat,the sauna and what turned out to be a week of sunshine,and we had all the ingredients for the week of rest,relaxation with occasional bursts of activity that makes for our perfect holiday.

With the shops of Jonkoping fairly close by,and the delightful Asnesby rural life museum 5 minutes,away,our family couldn't have asked for a lot more.
Goes without saying,but I'll say it anyway,that I'd be happy to recommend Slogjantan to families and friends.

I stayed in this beautiful house with my family and our friends and we had a great time. We enjoyed fishing, and the sauna by the lake.
