This is the VRBO listing for our 1 Bedroom Suite. We also have a Studio Suite. They share a sunny deck.
Our TWO SUITES have cathedral ceilings with plenty of windows for natural light and views. They are comforably and tastefully furnished with fully equipped kitchens, queen size beds, plus convertible sleepers, cable TV, DVD, and wireless internet. The deck is provided with a charcoal grill and patio furniture for each unit. Both suites are often booked together for larger parties of family or friends' reunions as the deck is perfect for visiting and dining together.
The location within easy walking distance of all the shopping (including grocery store), theatres, museums, farmer's market and the fun of Friday Harbor is always a delight to our guests. Within our cluster of historical cottages you will find a bakery next door for your morning coffee and pastries, a wonderful used bookstore, the farmer's market, an award winning restaurant, and a massage studio.
Our aim is to provide you with a place to relax after a day of biking, kayaking, hiking, or wildlife and whale watch excursions. Not that ambitious? Then let the others 'do their thing' while you stay home and explore the antique store and the wonderful used bookstore, order lunch at the deli and take it home to eat on the deck while reading a book. All within steps of your suite!

We chose this property for our business because when we viewed the Suites we wanted to settle in and stay. Living in town with everything right outside the doorstep appealed to our imagination.
PERFECT LOCATION ~ REASONABLE RATES ~ FULL KITCHEN'S ~ EVERY AMENITY ~ SPACIOUS OUTDOOR DINING PLUS BBQ ~ BAKERY AND FARMER'S MARKET NEXT DOOR
We used to live on San Juan Island. Courtyard Suites was an excellent choice for us coming back to see friends for a couple of reasons. It has a designated parking spot. We were allowed to bring our pampered pooch and found "cookies" for her, as well as places that are okay for dogs on the island. It is at the heart of the town, overlooking the Saturday market which is always a fun event. It is between a bakery and a lunch deli, both with excellent food. Most important to me, the bed is comfortable - as good as our mattress at home, there was plenty of air - both many openable windows and a quiet little fan, if you are a fresh air freak like I am. I slept like the proverbial baby, something I don't do well in unfamiliar settings. In conclusion, if there were more than 5 stars, I would give them; definitely a come-back place.
Just enjoyed 3 nights in this very comfortable nicely appointed 1 bedroom cottage, located a block from the ferry and downtown Friday Harbor. For those of you who will be a "walk on" on the ferry and not have a car, it's a perfect location. Right below the cottage is a bakery (although unfortunately it was closed for the winter) and immediately adjacent is a restaurant called the Coho (rated quite high on TripAdvisor/Yelp). The San Juan Island Cheese Company, serving artisan cheeses, wines and breads) is directly across the street (we had some fabulous smoked gouda there), and King's Market is a block away. The cottage was very clean and management has provided everything you'd ever need to live comfortably, including complimentary roasted coffee (not in those little packets you get in hotels which make brown water--not coffee) with more than enough for our 3 day stay, purified water in the refrigerator, dishes, pots, pans, barbeque equipment, washer dryer and soaps, dish racks, wine bottle openers, you name it they have it for you. There was an abundance of plush towels, bedding was clean and warm and plenty of extra pillows. Games, books and cards are on hand and comfortable enough seating. The only caveat to all of these positive remarks is that we could hear road noise in the morning. as the street is a main street to drive down to the ferry line. While winter is fairly quiet, town does bustle in the summer time and it may be much noisier during tourist season which may or may not be a problem for others. Overall, this little cottage is priced really well and we do not hesitate to recommend it to others.
We had a wonderful weekend at the Courtyard Suites in late September. The 1-bedroom is a great size (we only had two people, but it could handle more). A private and very cozy home-away-from-home. There is not even a common wall between the two units, so they are each quiet. Friday Harbor may wake up early, and you will hear some street noise then, but the evenings were very peaceful and being right in town is a real benefit if you like bakery and coffee runs and access to strolling and restaurants. There is no dishwasher, but everything else one needs is provided. The proprietors are extremely responsive and organized. We hope to be back when we need our island fix!
We had a wonderful time in this little gem of a studio. It is much larger than your typical studio! (the bed area is just open). Large living area and dining room, kitchen and bath. Loved that there were windows on pretty much every side of the unit, so lots of daylight and breeze. Kitchen well equipped. Outdoor deck with BBQ and seating. Bed was super comfy and the staff was very helpful and responsive. Close to everything in town (Kings Market is 2 blocks away). And there is a bakery right downstairs. We had a mice dinner at the Backdoor Kitchen right up the street. Can't wait to come back next summer!! Pefect place to stay in town. Thank you for a lovely weekend!
We had a fab stay here at Courtyard Suites. Very clean, roomy, great ventilation, cute patio and comfortable beds. Looking forward to booking it again.
Love, Love, LOVED the location! Not only were the owners wonderful to deal with, the place was in great condition and felt like a lil home away from home...for our toy poodle too (who appreciated the treat left for her and I appreciated the towel left for her lil paws, I always have one in her doggy travel bag, so I didn't have to use it-but what a sweet idea nontheless). We are looking forward to making this a place we regularly visit from now on!
