The apartment is located right across the beautiful 3rd arrondissement City Hall.
The building is from 18th century, in the heart of the Marais, at the 4th floor, with no vis à vis. It features a beautiful large living room, a separate kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom with queen size bed.
The apartment has been recently renovated and is furnished with style and attention to detail. It is fully equipped with stove, microwave, refrigerator, washing machine, iron and board, Samsung flat screen TV, telephone (free calls), WIFI, IPod dock, hairdryer...
Located at a 2 minutes walk from the metro station 'Temple' on line 3, it is a 5 minutes walk to the Place des Vosges and 10 minutes away from Beaubourg (Contemporary Art Museum), the Louvre and Notre Dame.
My wife and I spent a week at this apartment in November and enjoyed the cozy ambiance during spell of cold weather. The heating system works well!
The apartment has been refurbished recently--everything is sharp and new-looking.
The location was excellent for us--the kind of neighborhood we enjoy walking in, with a mix of impressive monumental buildings that extablish the historic bona fides of the area, and small buildings jumbled together providing accommodation for boutiques, apartments, etc. that keep the neighborhood lively at all hours.
The apartment has a spacious and attractively furnished living/dining room with big windows overlooking the Mairie of the arrondisement and providing plenty of light. The bedroom is adequate even not big for the queen-size, but with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is tiny, but accommodates a shower with plenty of water pressure. The kitchen area (part of the hallway leading to the bathroom) is small--not adequate for cooking a complex meal, but fine for breakfast, take-out and simple meals.
We had a nice stay in New Year holidays in this apartment in the Upper Marais district. The neighborhood is charming, lovely, with many shops "à la page", restaurants, all to walk around on foot. A few steps from the apartment there are two different metro stations but most of the things you do on foot. The apartment is lovely, clean and well maintained; the kitchen is well equipped and furnished. Internet works perfectly. It's an apartment very quiet and did not hear any noise coming from the street; We slept very well and comfortably. The room is small but with a comfortable bed. The living room is cozy, well equipped and very bright.
Really is a great place, we highly recommend it to live in perfect Parisian style.
The contact with the owners has always been easy and they themselves were always available and they gave us all the information necessary for our stay was as pleasant as possible.
Our flight to Paris for our 10-day stay was a nightmare; it was cancelled twice and delayed beyond belief. In contrast, our stay at the apartment was simply fantastic. The owners were extremely understanding of the whole situation and still managed to meet us in person at the apartment for check-in even after we had to reschedule multiple times in the same 36 hour span.
As for the property itself, it was exactly as it was described; it looks just like the pictures and it was very clean and organized. We had plenty of room for all of our luggage and found the whole space to be very welcoming; you can tell pretty quickly that the property owners care about the design of the apartment and making it feel cozy. It was up on the fourth floor, which might bother some, but compared to the amount of stairs that you climb just going between metro stations in a single day in Paris (not to mention at the monuments!), it really was no problem at all.
The neighborhood itself was really nice with plenty of cafés and bistros in the area for a quick dinner and it was also a 5 minute walk from the République metro stop, meaning that the entire city was easily accessible from the apartment. We visited the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and various other monuments and sights and none of them were more than 30 minutes away with the metro.
We would recommend this property in a heartbeat -- it truly felt like home for the whole time we were there and we felt comfortable and safe in the apartment and the neighborhood. If/when we return to Paris, we would realistically come here again.
We enjoyed our stay at this apartment. Loved the location, especially because of the close metro and all the neighborhood had to offer. Very clean and we appreciated how the owners/manager were so helpful with all our questions. Loved the living room which gave us space to spread out a bit. Appreciated the washer and dryer rack and hair dryer. Hope to come back someday. Hint: use the wand shower (rather than the overhead) as too much water from the overhead will flood the floor if you are not careful.
Such a lovely flat in the best location! I was very happy with my stay in Le Marais and would stay at this property again. Very clean, easy to find, close to bakeries, shops, banks/atm, grocery stores, metro stations, etc. The property owners and property manager are very patient and easy to deal with, always ready to answer questions and help in any way possible. If you are looking to stay in Paris, especially in Le Marais, I would highly recommend this property!
We loved the location and how quiet the apartment was. It was fun drinking our morning coffee from a french press and the grocery store could not have been closer. We wish there had been more closet space, we ended up living out of our suitcases (there is a closet with hangers but no place to put folded clothes). Do NOT bring large suitcases like we did, there is no elevator and the stairs are narrowish. We did appreciate the exercise, though. The bathroom was tiny but functional and the drains all worked perfectly. I would recommend this apartment to others.
This apartment is absolutely perfect for a rental of a week or so in Paris. Three reasons: (1) its location is a amazing (2) the bed is excellent (3) it's on a courtyard and quiet. AS a traveler, you couldn't ask for more. Yes, it's a four-story walk-up, good for conditioning. The bathroom and kitchen are really small, but for a week, more than adequate as long as you don't plan on cooking dinner from scratch. Great TV and phone arrangement, though we used neither. What we did do is walk everywhere, and come and go at all times of day. We only took the metro six times in a week (two of those to and from the train station), preferring to walk everywhere. The immediate neighborhood has everything you'd want in a neighborhood -- market, restaurants, specialty shops, bank, cafes, pharmacy. It's sweet. And the greater Marais is one of Paris' most interesting neighborhoods to walk. I should mention that the apartment also has all kinds of television stations and free international telephone. We used neither. Maud is great to deal with, too, even though she has a Paris manager overseeing things right now. We'd return here and may -- next summer.
This apartment is located in the heart of Le Marais in Paris.
