Roomy, Well-Equipped, and Close to the Water

Greeting us on a large table were fresh flowers, apples, bananas, and a bottle of wine. And it just kept getting better. There was coffee in the cupboard!
This well-equipped, clean, and roomy apartment was our home for 5 nights. There was plenty storage space, including a walk-in closet in the bedroom, complete with a dresser and lots of hangers. The bathroom had two medicine chests, three cabinets, and plenty of counter space. It was easy to stay organized an feel right at home.
We cooked most of our meals, and the kitchen was well equipped with nice heavy gauge frying pans, cookie sheets, and cooking utensils. The knives weren't particularly sharp ... but then they never are in a rental! There was a microwave, a full-size gas range, and a handy toaster oven. All were in fine working order. Although there was no dishwasher, there was a double sink, dish soap, Barkeeper Friend, a dish drainer, dish towels, and a new sponge.
The living area was nicely appointed and the futon was comfortable (although a little difficult for just one person to convert from couch to bed). Lots of bedding and towels.
We had breakfast every morning on the deck overlooking the ocean. That, too, was roomy and well furnished with chairs and two tables.
The owner was prompt and efficient at every turn. He even made sure to tell us about the street cleaning and the need to park elsewhere during the designated hours. That saved us a parking ticket, for sure!
I was happy to find a Trader Joe's a short distance away, and I walked to the pier every day. There were lots of children playing on the beach and the beach was well equipped with play equipment, too. There were a lot of services and activities within walking distance, including the train station and the movie theater.
I do hope we'll have an opportunity to return to Oceanside again some day, and I do hope this place is available. It was wonderful!
