Sad to say we have to say good bye to another exciting ski season but spring and summer season is here, Nature lovers will enjoy hiking the Appalacian Trails or white water rafting in Jim Thorpe. If you enjoy the night life, we are just 30 minutes away from Mount Airy Casino or the Sands Casino in Bethlehem.. Shopping is close enough either at the Crossings or antiquing in Jim Thorpe .Maybe just relaxing at the cabin in the hot tub or by a fire with friends is your preference, whatever you like there is plenty to do. So come and enjoy a vacation in the Poconos.

The house sleeps 12 comfortably with three bedrooms, an upstairs loft, 2 bathrooms (both with showers) and an open kitchen, dining room and living room . The living room has a pellet stove, perfect for chilly winter nights. The house also has a spacious front porch with relaxing views of the local farm and Appalacian mountains. Out back is a fire ring for smores' and a grill for outside cooking situated conveniently to the 6 person hot tub for complete privacy.

Enjoy all the seasons in the beautiful Pocono Mountains. From snow season with close proximity to ski trails (5 miles) to white water rafting or antiquing at Jim Thorpe .

Some of our guests prefer to just kick back and relax and enjoy the mountain views from the front porch swings or a glass of wine in the hot tub out back. What ever your preference, this cabin provides a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy.

You can rest in either of the 2 private bedrooms downstairs or the large bedroom upstairs bedroom that sleeps 5. The bonus loft provides a quiet place for games and additional sleeping.

You will find that my log cabin will comfortably fit all of your needs and those of your guests.

Additional amenities include fire ring for outside fires, pellet stove for indoor warmth and relaxation. Wifi and tv throughout the house. The loft is a great place to sit and play board games or exercise on the tread mill.

In the winter, you and your family can have a snow filled vacation skiing, snow tubing, or sledding down 7 private acres of land in your own back yard. The cabin is fully equipped with linens and towels, just bring your toothbrush and food and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Further Details: An active night life could include a short trip to either Mount Airy Casino ( 30 minutes) or Sands Casino in Bethlehem (40 Minutes). Or if you prefer, you could spend the night relaxing in the private six person hot tub with a glass of wine or toasting marshmallows by an outdoor fire pit. Most vacationers just enjoy sitting on the front porch enjoying coffee and company in a peaceful serene setting.

Golf enthusiasts will enjoy 300 acres of rolling hills at Hideaway Hill Golf Course. Rated 4 ½ stars by Golf Digest, Hideaway Hills is literally right down the street.

During the summer months, rock or swing on the expansive front porch and enjoy the view of the picturesque farm directly across the street. The months of April and May are great times of the year to go hiking on the Appalachian Trail of take a bike ride on any of the many nearby scenic trails. No matter the season, there is always something adventurous and fun to do at Silver Spring cabin. Experience one or experience all of the seasons making memories that will last a lifetime.

Originally from NJ, we purchased this cabin and raised our children there. We continue to share family memories and get together with our children and grandchildren at the cabin as much as possible.

So incredibly relaxing...

As previous posters have noted, the owner (Sandra) is very responsive, and is always available to answer questions or provide advice. The property is fully equipped, including linens, cookware, towels, etc. There is a general store five minutes away, where you can pick up firewood for the outdoor fire pit and anything else you might need. We had a great stay at this cabin, and loved its closed proximity to good hiking and snowboarding. We particularly enjoyed our evenings relaxing in front of the pellet stove or in the (large) jacuzzi. Would absolutely return. Thanks Sandra!

Okay - but needs some attention

The house and property are in need to some attention. We had to purchase toilet paper and paper towels as the house did not have either when we arrived. Several light bulbs were also blown/not working so we had to move the good ones around to see at night. The front yard was riddled with cigarette butts which caused an issue when our 3 year-old was trying to play. The hot tub also needs attention as several of the headrests are broken as is the light.
The owners were not the best at communicating information as we had to e-mail several times before our arrival and after no responses we finally had to call for arrival and key/code information.
The house and property could be really lovely if given more attention by the owners and cleaning staff as the location and setting are fantastic.
Owner's Response: So sorry the cabin wasn't up to your standards. My husband and I have spent the 2 weeks following your stay doing general maintenance on the house and property. Winter is always a popular time for the cabin so I apologize for the carelessness of our previous guests. I can assure you that the cigarette butts have
all been cleaned up and the house is well lit and spotless. I have never had complaints before, but will take it as constructive criticism and have addressed all issues. The key code is changed regularly so I do not provide that information until just before your stay. Thank you for your comments.

Beautiful!!!

From its rustic charm to the wood pellet oven for warmth in the living room (it actually does heat up the place, for us city folk!) to the beautiful view of 7 acres from all the windows this place had, this cabin was exactly what I was looking for!

This cabin was also SPOTLESS. I was pleasantly surprised, most of all, with the bathroom. Normally, although cleanliness is a deciding factor on whether or not my family will return to a rental, I try not to have too high expectations on bathrooms as it's usually a letdown. But this bathroom was absolutely immaculate and the tub looked brand new. This was very comforting to me.

Likewise, the little instructions Sandra had provided throughout the cabin on its workings were very helpful and made it all the more cozy. The driving directions she provided were spot on and we had no trouble getting there.

Finally, the response to emails I sent to Sandra were always within 24 hours....something that I am a stickler for. It gave me a sense of comfort to know that she was attentive to her email (in case we needed her) but also that she cared enough to make sure my needs were met before I even stepped foot on her property! I think families would love it here.

Thanks Sandra! We would definitely, definitely come back!

Amazing weekend!

We just stayed here and had a reunion with a group of friends and this place was amazing! There was plenty of room for everyone and lots to do. Being so close to Blue Mountain was just perfect. We definitly are planning a return visit!
Owner's Response: So glad you took advantage of the skiiing and snowboarding wthin a couple miles, I hear the snow was great. The cabin is just as relaxing for summer vacations with water tubing and shopping in near by Jim Thorpe. Call if you ned to reserve.

Sooooo Relaxing

This was our 2nd time in 1 year to stay here. The first time was 3 nights, driving back to Philadelphia we were talking about how we have to stay for a week!
The listing description is accurate with location, layout & amenities.
Bring you clothes, toothbrush, stop at the grocery store 5 miles away and enjoy!
The cabin is clean and very well maintained and Sandra always provides a quick response.
We got to use the pellet stove which was neat, easy to maintain and alot of heat!
Our favorite activities was to sit on the AWESOME porch and watch our dog play in the front yard or sit on the most comfy sofa and have movie marathons.
We certainly recommend the cabin and we will be back!
