LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

There is nothing better than being in the middle of Paris, where everything Parisian is within your easy reach. Your lovely apartment is situated on the Left Bank, just opposite Notre Dame Cathedral. This 17th century building is located in the oldest section of Paris, full of history at every turn.

Your apartment is conveniently located just steps away from Station St. Michel, which serves the Metro line 4 as well as the larger RER lines B and C.

Just imagine coming back to your quiet hideaway after a long day of sightseeing; and having time to put your feet up. After a bit of relaxation and a couple of glasses of French Wine, it is just an easy stroll to dinner. Your centrally located home-away-from-home makes this all possible.

At your Paris apartment, you are within walking distance of Notre Dame Cathedral, Hotel de Ville, Le Marais, Place de Vosges, Pompidou Center, Ile St. Louis, St. Michel, Jardin de Plants, Le Sorbonne, St. Germain, Sainte Chapelle, Latin Quarter, etc.

Your 1st floor apartment (2nd floor, by American system) with large windows was historically considered as the ''noble'' floor. When you open your front door, the entry hallway invites you to the living/dining room. The apartment's high ceilings still contain the original wooden beams, which is part of the charm/history of the building and the area. It also provides the perfect setting for the large woven tapestry on the wall behind the sofa. The convertible sofa was especially selected for the excellent firm mattress providing a comfortable sleep.

The dining area is composed of table that will seat 6 comfortably. The large built in bookshelves hold a good selection of reading material, including maps and tourist information.

The apartment has two large windows that open to enjoy the pedestrian only street below (rue de la Huchette) that is filled with interesting shops, boutiques, and restaurants.

Your kitchen is equipped with everything necessary for a simple breakfast, afternoon tea, cocktails & hors d'oeuvres (or amuse-bouche), or something more substantial. This includes refrigerator, cook top, microwave, toaster oven, electric coffee maker, dishwasher, and a small European style washing machine.

The bedroom has a queen size bed and plenty of storage. There is also a small folded IKEA cot that is ideal for a small child. The bathroom has a bathtub/shower, hair dryer, etc. All bed and bath linens are included.

Paris usually has fairly mild weather but just in case of a summer heat wave there is an air conditioner for the bedroom and also a portable fan in the living room, all for your comfort.

What you will get from us: We will work with you to provide answers to all your questions before you leave home, and will provide detailed instructions for getting to the apartment, regardless of your mode of transportation. We will offer to book a car service for you, which will streamline the arrival/departure process. We will be there to greet you, help with your luggage, and provide an informative tour of the apartment, explaining how everything works. We will give you a brief introduction to your new neighborhood so you can find all the important things, and can also give recommendations for our favorite bistros, brasseries, cafes, and restaurants, and help make reservations as appropriate. We are only a telephone call away, should you need help, while in our care.

Our mission is to give you the best experience possible, which will make your dream trip even more memorable.

Fantastic Location in the Heart Of Paris - Thoroughly Enjoyed Our Stay!

My husband and I stayed at this apartment in the center of Paris for four days this past month and would highly recommend it to anyone. It was spacious, nicely appointed with everything we could need, and the location is amazing. It really is just steps from Notre Dame, walking distance from many other sites, and for those who do not like to walk, directly across the street from the RER and Metro stations. We were able to stop back in the apartment to take a quick break, change clothes or pick up something between our Paris activities - something we could not have done had the location not been so fantastic.

One other reviewer mentioned the noise, and while we can see that being directly on a walking street with restaurants and bars might be an issue if you were using the living room to accommodate more people, for us it was not an issue since the bedroom is on the opposite side of the apartment from the windows over the walking street. We loved being able to just go downstairs and wander around to find a place for dinner or even just to stop and have a glass of wine at a sidewalk cafe.

David is a superb host as well. He met us at the apartment the first afternoon with a supply of basic groceries - coffee, juice, some treats (one of which was so good we ended up having to find a box to bring home) and even a bottle of champagne. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable on the best ways to get around, best times to go to certain sites, etc. And, he was always available by phone if anything came up and very responsive. We also appreciated the free long distance available to use so we could call back to the US to check on things at home without having to worry about burning up precious (and costly) roaming minutes on our cell phones, and likewise we utilized the wifi in the apartment to avoid roaming data charges when we were there.

Overall, I can't imagine we would have found a better place to stay for our Paris visit!

Awesome location; beautiful accomodations!!

What an awesome experience...this location is right in the center of my favorite part of Paris. The front faces the Seine, and the back is on the Rue de la Huchette, a street in the Latin Quarter filled with many restaurants, cafes, and shops, where people from all cultures create a lively energetic feeling.
The owner, David, was so helpful and accommodating; he couldn't have been nicer! He met us at the door, answered all of our questions, and even had a surprise awaiting us to help us celebrate our vacation. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone - there is a separate bedroom for 2, and it would easily accommodate 2 more people on the sofa bed in the living room. It is true that the street below will have some lively conversation and music, but after walking around the city all day, we had no trouble sleeping, and enjoyed the lively atmosphere.
Thank you, David, for all you did to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We hope to return for a longer visit soon!

Perfect Cozy Stay

We just got back from almost two weeks in this property & loved it! David met us to let us in. There was a generous welcome selection of necessities for the first few days we might need (milk, juice, coffee!) Secure two stage entry to apartment entrances was comforting considering the tourist nature of the area. Backing up to a night hot spot was fun for people watching, or separate when desired with the heavy curtains that blocked out 95% of the noise. Cool apartment temperature, or hot shower after long day touring city was great. Stones throw from a main Metro station, St. Michel (discovered other elevator entrance for RER accidentally on our last morning by going right out the front door) Around the corner from this wonderful centrally located clean comfortable apartment are plenty of great eats & the pictures above really don't do justice to how close you are to The Notre Dame Cathedral. Don't forget the creperie shops on Rue de la Huchette, or the street performers that are there to entertain.

All this is near this well organized apartment! Enjoy! We definteltly will choose this particular Partment when we go again!

Great stay in May 2012

We had a great experience with the owner and the apartment, so to cut to the bottom line, we loved it! Highly recommended. We will definitely try to stay there again in the future.

The pluses for us (why we chose it over other rentals):
1. The location. Across the street from the front door to the building was the Seine River, with Notre Dame to the right (half long block) and Louvre to the left (several blocks). And the St Michel Metro stop and RER B train are very close. We were in the thick of the tourist area. (You can easily take the train from the CDG airport, but you will be lugging bags up and down lots of stairs. We didn't.)
2. Only one flight up - some rentals are several flights up. With our luggage, would have been an issue.
3. Having a tub and shower, and having AC and heat (although we never used either the AC or the heat!).
4. The support from the owner. He sent lists of restaurants, helped us book a car from the airport, and had some basic supplies in the apt when we arrived.
5. The comfort of the bed and bedroom. We like it dark when we sleep, and when we closed the bedroom door and the curtains, it was great sleeping. And plenty of blankets and towels and other things.

My only things a potential renter should know about are:
1. The noise from the street. The apt is in the back of the building, so the large windows in living and dining area open to a popular pedestrian street for restaurants, bars and tourist shops. The noise never bothered us one bit - the bedroom is on the interior courtyard, so we never heard anything when we closed the bedroom door - but if you had anyone sleeping in the living area, they may need ear plugs on a weekend night.
2. The washer/dryer is a very small European one. We ended up running a small load every night to keep clean clothes - we were leaving Paris for a week somewhere else - and hung up many things to dry. Again, not a problem for us - but if you think you can do a lot of laundry in that machine, you need to do some planning.

Otherwise, all great. The apartment was well stocked with all of the stuff we needed, and included many things we didn't expect - umbrellas, guide books, etc. The wireless internet was fast and free, and he provided a phone with free calls back to the USA, which was very nice. We never turned on the TV, so can't tell you about that - except that there was one - plus a DVD player and a few movies on the shelf.

A wonderful stay!

Great Location

One bedroom apartment 2 easy flights up with pullout sofa in living room. Modest but very clean, comfortable, well equipped. No need to pack a hair dryer. Bedroom decor and wallpaper neat and tidy but to be upgraded. Perfect location for small group or family. Fantastic central location with easy access to metro, RER to airport, Ile de la Cite and Notre Dame, Ile de St Louis, and steps to all of Latin Quarter and St Germain. Apartment in back of building so view is to busy, fun, and historic Rue de la Huchette. A little noisy on Saturday night but apartment quiet then, if you want - we didn't, with windows closed. No shortage of restaurants if you don't want to stay in and cook. David was extremely helpful - met us at apartment, arranged for car service in, and had some goodies waiting for us to get us started. He also graciously compensated us one night because of some repair work going on in the building access corridor. Thanks David for a wonderful few days exploring Paris. Highly recommend this apartment for first time visit or returning travellers looking to savor Left Bank.
