Coral Caye Villa offers beautiful landscaping and gorgeous views overlooking the pool, Caribbean Sea, and palm trees from your own private balcony.
Situated about 4 miles north of San Pedro town, the home is within easy distance of fishing, taking the island ferry into town for shopping and night life or further north up the island to great restaurants and quaint bars. The Villa sits in the middle of 5 private homes faces directly onto the ocean and is surrounded by lush tropical plants and flowers which add to the privacy and serenity of the location.
The main level includes a bright and spacious living area open to the kitchen, dining area and balcony which overlooks the pool and ocean. French doors to the balcony allow you to let in the view and the warm tropical breezes. BBQ up some fresh caught local fish or relax in your own hammock built for two while watching the boat traffic go by and the waves rolling over the barrier reef. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, cooking utensils, dinnerware, etc.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed and private en-suite bathroom featuring hand painted his and her sinks and a large walk in shower with spacious closets and storage for all your vacation needs. The guest bedroom also features a king-size bed and master en-suite with shower and his and her sinks. Both bedrooms are located on the lower level and have separate private entrances to the beach level. Simply walk out your door and into the pool or ocean!
Within easy walking distance on the beach there are restaurants, bars and shops. Located directly behind the house is Mata Grande Grocery which can provide you with most everything you’ll need for your stay. Justin and Tami also provide provisioning services so that your groceries and cold Belikin beers can be waiting for you on arrival. A short walk south on the beach takes you to White Sands Dive Shop where Elbert or Lupe can arrange snorkeling and diving excursions for you. Tell them Max and Debi sent you! Or simply slip on your fins and swim out to the barrier reef directly in front of the house where you’ll find beautiful healthy coral and marine life including our resident loggerhead turtles and even a stingray or two!
Our management company, Belize Management, will arrange for your transfers to and from the airport, included in your rental, and can assist you with booking tours and excursions. All that’s left for you is to unpack and relax!
Ambergris Caye has much to offer and we are certain that once you’ve experienced La Isla Bonita you’ll want to come back time and again!

Home for us is in Canada. Originally from Quebec and Ontario we now live in the western part of the country in Vancouver British Columbia. While Vancouver offers great weather and sits on the ocean we spend many cold nights dreaming of getting back to Ambergris Caye and the warm tropical breezes. We both work in the restaurant industry and are avid divers spending every minute we can in the water! We sincerely hope you enjoy your stay at Coral Caye Villa and come back to see us often!
Deborah Gagnon purchased this house in 2009
Having traveled to Belize we fell in love with the people the country and the diving! We then researched the many dive sites surrounding Belize and discovered Ambergris Caye. After two days on the island we were hooked. The gentle nature of the people the beauty of the island and the variety of things to do and see along with the ability to de-stress instantly captured our hearts. From there we decided to look at homes and contacted Chris and Amanda at Sunrise Reality. Chris took us to see the property and when we walked in the door at Coral Caye we knew we were home! We love being in Ambergris, hate to leave it and spend most days wishing we were back! We’re sure you will agree that La Isla Bonita is aptly named and that you will also fall in love with this little tropical island gem in the Caribbean Sea!
We love the people the tranquility and the warm ocean breezes that come through the French doors on the balcony. We enjoy lying in the hammock lazily swinging back and forth while reading; BBQ'ing fresh local fish caught only hours before and the amazing diving and snorkeling right at our doorstep. We’ve made some great new discoveries at the local restaurants and some wonderful new friends on the island as well. A favorite place to go is the Mamba restaurant just north of the house on the beach and also the Rojo.
The entire Caye Villas compound is very well laid out and landscaped beautifully. Our villa was very clean, spacious and super functional with all the amenities you could ask for. Our caretaker David was professional, friendly, helpful and took very good care of us from arrival to departure. We purchased supplies from San Pedro stores and the Mata Grocery directly behind our villa, which was super convenient! Our nights out at the local restaurants were fabulous as well. The ONLY negative was the beach! An untimely sea grass invasion lined the entire eastern shore and smelled as it decomposed.
We enjoyed our stay at the Coral Caye. The accommodation's were clean andcomfortable. The Caretaker, David, took great care of us and was always available to help us with whatever we needed.
This is a large, nicely equipped villa about 10-15 min boat ride from San Pedro. A couple of things to note. Perfect for 2 couples or large family. Stock up on supplies in San Pedro before going to the villa. There is a very small grocery behind the villas, but selection is small and more expensive. Great restaurants within walking distance in each direction along the beach. Close to great scuba diving! This is a well maintained property and highly recommended. We stayed Nov.29 - Dec 6, 2014.
We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation!! The accommodations were clean and the grounds were very well-maintained. David made sure we were taken care of....including getting us coconuts and arranging transportation. The laundry service was such a bonus and very much appreciated! We had such an amazing adventure!! Belize was on my boyfriends bucket list, but after this trip we WILL be returning and would definitely choose to stay here again. We cannot thank you enough!
My husband and I stayed at Coral Caye Villa for our honeymoon and had a nice relaxing time. The Villa is beautiful and the grounds are kept by David, the very helpful caretaker. We asked David about fresh seafood and vegetables and before we knew it he had brought us 2lbs of fresh lobster and 2lbs of shrimp...and the prices were fantastic! He also came to our door to let us know that the local vegi and fruit wagon had just shown up, the prices and product were much better than what we found at the store...although the little store behind the Villa was very convenient for all other food that we needed.
The fishing through Sundiver was exceptional, we caught 17 snapper and had a great time with the 2 guides, they were very personable and they cleaned all the fish for us at the end of the trip...just perfect!
Thank you to the Owners for opening up your beautiful Villa for us to enjoy!
My friend and I just finished our weeklong stay. We found the house to be just as listed, pictured and described. We enjoyed having access to air conditioning after coming from no ac in the Cayo district. The villa was comfortable and well equipped over all. Don't buy salt and pepper, there are several sets! :)
The caretaker, David, was incredibly helpful at all times. We loved having him around!
There was snorkel equipment and a kayak at the villa. The pool was clean and a perfect temperature.
The villa is a bit far from San Pedro, but, not prohibitively. I wouldn't recommend renting a cart for the entire week, because it is so bumpy and long to get to and from San Pedro in this way. We rented the cart for one day and it was a fun and novel adventure for one day, but we definitely didn't want to use it more.
We were able to snorkel with Genie of Coral Divers several times during the week. He came right to the villa to arrange trips and payment so it was very convenient. Neither my friend nor I were comfortable using the kayak to get to the reef. Some travelers may feel adventurous and strong enough to do so, but I wouldn't recommend it for the average person. The waterway in front of the villa is quite busy with boats.
We did walk the beach each day. But, it is important to note that the beaches are different than you may expect. There is quite a bit of sea grass and trash that washes on shore. The various caretakers of all the properties along the beach work very hard everyday to clear the sea grass and debris, but, there is only so much they can do. This didn't stop us from enjoying our daily walks.
Brittany at the management company was there to help whenever we needed her. So, between her and David, we felt very taken care of. It is also nice to have the grocery directly behind the villa. There are also several bars and restaurants within walking distance, both north and south of the villa.
Thanks for a great week!
