Lodge, 6 Bedrooms + Loft + Den, 3 Baths Sleeps 12

Everyone says they all want to get together.... Well, how and where do you find a place THAT can happen. Shhhh.. Let me tell you about this hidden treasure.

Roughly 5,000 SF with a beautiful view. Six bedrooms + loft. Wonder around this place take a look at the local handcrafted home that it is. The Master suite has a king size bed with a futon for smaller children to stay close by until they adjust. the main living floor consists of three (including master) bedrooms, two baths and a loft. The family room has two large futons to drop and watch the DirectTV or DVD from the library. The Loft has two large futons. The lower level has three bedrooms, one bath. A double sofa sleeper and three twin bed tops that can be placed in the large lower master room along with the play pen, a queen size bed in room two and a day bed with trundle in bedroom three.

A gas grill and a smoker await your party. I love a good cabana or gazebo - but not on this property.

The view, the sky the mountains....: You WANT to see this sky day or night. Sit by the fire pit at night and recap your day.

So you like waterfalls do you?... The top three on this list are minutes from the cabin... Google Franklin Waterfalls then click on what to do....

Tell each other of the fly fishing, tubing the white waters of the Nanthala, swimming in the water hole at Bump your Butt falls, gem mining.

Did you really want to try a piece of the AT - Appalachian Trail? Try Bartrams Trail.

Just do it, you know you need this break. Ask me and I'll tell you where I have the hiking equipment for three hidden in the house. So hit that trail!

Beautiful FRANKLIN/Highlands area of NC. So much to do, just turn it all off. I mean turn it ALL off. Take the kids fishing, hiking, gem stone mining. Shhhhh, let momma sleep and just enjoy them while you can. OK, so you want to make some noise, well that is up to you. There's plenty of land around your cabin, oh for Pete's sake, go take a hike!!!

This is the absolute best place on earth... I fell in love the moment I walked in. It makes you feel right at home, VERY clean, VERY convenient to everything you could want in the mountains. Our Family trip was priceless. There were so many things to do , we simply ran out of time and had to go back to the real world... This is as close to heaven as it gets... The description does not do it justice... recommend to all... 10 STAR STAY!!

Family gathering for Thanksgiving Week.

Hi Molly - our stay at Finnegan’s Farm was fantastic.

I don’t know if my mom (Marilyn) ever wrote in your book left on the coffee table or not, but… I want to say… your home is absolutely beautiful. You (and/or your decorator) has exquisite tastes, not to mention, the view from your home is just breath-taking. We really made use of the fire pit outside… thoroughly enjoyed it.
From the nearby Whistle Stop Mall where we window-shopped the beautiful furniture and antiques to the Scottish Tartans Museum and other shops downtown, to hiking along the river rocks on Highlands Rd. and shopping in Highlands, back to town for bowling and skating… we had a fantastic time. The views along the drive to Highlands (and on up to Whitewater Falls) was absolutely beautiful. Anyone who visits the area really should take advantage and visit the area waterfalls and local shopping. We also enjoyed a full day in Asheville… visited the Biltmore Estate and winery… was SO nice and the area around Asheville is also very beautiful. Anyone who has an opportunity to visit the area, should take advantage of your home when it is available… its perfect!

Thank you again for allowing us to enjoy your home away from home.

Truly a gem in the rough

We spent this weekend there (7/22) to join the other McGaha's at the family reunion. This home has it all. Every detail made it feel like home. From the huge collection of DVD's, the basket of brochures for finding that days adventure, to the journal of past visitors, to the boards games...I could go on and on. The view was amazing! Plenty of room for our big group. What a treat it was to stay here. Thank you so very much.
