PENTHOUSE OVERLOOKING ATLANTIS RESORT

My husband and I spent a week at Sean's penthouse on a scuba-diving trip. Sean's apartment allowed us to spend more money on diving than if we had stayed in a hotel. We ate breakfast and lunch regularly at the nearby restaurant, Bayside Grill, which has amazing local food. We rented scooters from the scooter rental place right across the street. Junkanoo beach is an easy 10-minute walk from the building. Sean had beach towels, a beach bag and an umbrella (in case it rains) in the unit for us to use. A nice liquor store is a block east on Shirley Street, and a grocery store (Bayside Food Market) is four blocks northwest on Frederick Street. The washer and dryer in the unit also really came in handy. The pool is awesome. We used it every day we were there and had it completely to ourselves every time (save for one evening when a family was with us for about a half hour). The privacy and quietness is the best part about his place. When we did see other residents, they were extremely friendly and helpful, recommending places to eat and see. Sean told us that many residents of the building are doctors and nurses who work at the nearby Princess Margaret Hospital. It was fun to wake up in the morning and see which cruise ships had sailed into port in the night. The building is right downtown close to shopping and museums. If you want a place away from the hubbub of hotels and resorts, this is a great place to stay.

The apartment was in a perfect location for us, ideal for downtown Nassau and visiting attractions nearby. Most things on our list were in a walkable distance.
Apartment was nicely furnished and comfortable with 2 spacious bedrooms each with its own bathroom. Sean was an excellent host and communication was always prompt and his driver, Vado, lovely too.
Apartment could be even better if a little time was put to tiding up wires and cabling and upgrading and better equipping the kitchen.

We stayed at this property for a couple of nights before leaving on a boat charter to Exuma. Loved it! We had a group of four and there was plenty of space. Great location too. Sean was a warm host and helped coordinate our travel with his driver while we were in Nassau (we squeezed in Junkanoo Beach, Blue Lagoon Island and Paradise Island, LOL). Lots of fresh towels, bottled water, etc. There was a brief island-wide power outage one morning, but Sean was instantly accessible to make sure we were okay and our needs taken care of.

I definitely recommend this property to anyone staying in Nassau. No way I’ll stay in a hotel if I come back, this is it for me. You can’t beat the value.
