I am an Interior designer/ architect and I love to travel. I have lived in many great cities (NYC, Aspen, Miami, and LA) and I always come back here. I use VRBO wherever I go. It's the greatest way to really get to know how the locals live, find the best restaurants, and walking communities.
Margaret purchased this bungalow in 2004
Orlando is a great city. I grew up here. When ever I leave the state of Florida, I am reminded of the great weather and ease of living here. I can walk everywhere and there is always something interesting going on.
Great local neighborhood vibe! Walk to dining, shopping, and Sunday farmer's market, and enjoy the close proximity to Lake Eola and Downtown Orlando. 5 minute drive/ rickshaw (10 minute walk) to Amway center & movie theaters. 45 minutes to the Beach. Disney Area & Theme Parks & Convention Center 30 minute drive. 20 minutes from airport. 2 miles from Orlando executive airport.
We are Floridians who frequently visit Downtown Orlando a few times a year. We were looking for an alternative to the hotel scene but still wanted to be close to the Downtown Nightlife. We found this very charming home in Thornton Park with restaurants within blocks of the house and was just a short walk to the Downtown Orlando Nightlife. It is a quiet beautiful neighborhood full of historic houses with plenty of things to do even if just a stroll/run around Lake Eola is what you are looking to do. We spent 3 nights over the New Year's Eve holiday and had an amazing time! Perfect for getting out to enjoy the Nightlife but have a place to come home to in order to relax at the same time. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and we will most surely return for our next stay!
This is a very charming home in Thornton Park. Walking distance to restaurants and nightlife in Thornton Park or Downtown. Lake Eola is a short stroll away. Very quiet neighborhood. Perfect for relaxing. Fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook in. 100% recommended and I hope to stay there again.
Very beautiful home within blocks from neighborhood restaurants. Up to date furnishings and has been well cared for.
Enjoyed our stay.
Great house in a great area. Felt completely safe here when staying alone while waiting for my husband to join me. Lovely neighbourhood with restaurants and a park/walkway around a small lake. Margaret, the owner, very accessible and friendly. Made me feel like I was indeed a guest in her home. Can't wait to return in August when we visit our son again!
We spent 3 nights at this very lovely home. It is our first stay in Thornton Park and this house is ideally located to walk into town or talk walks around the lakes in the area. The home is exactly as posted on the website. It was a very comfortable place to stay and would highly recommend it to anyone. We felt at home here and will return next time we visit the area. The home is easy to locate off I-4 and located close to Downtown. Also, the owner was very friendly and helpful.
This home is perfect for an Orlando stay...especially if you want to get away from the Disney madness. It is a beautiful safe area for walking, shopping, and eating.
2 blocks from restaurants, shopping, Starbucks, Lake Eola, outdoor cafes.
1 mile to Downtown Orlando, Performing Arts Center
1.8 miles to Amway Arena
Near I-4/ and the 408 expressway. Easy driving to all the attractions, but I recommend staying in Thornton Park.
