Treat yourself to a tranquil stay in a completely furnished home, near a pond where you can fish or just enjoy a fabulous view of the valley and the Rocky Mountains. Watch ranch activities on this 100 head cattle ranch, such as irrigating, branding, and weaning calves. Bring your own horses and ride on our many acres, or we can schedule trail rides for you. Our rental is fully supplied with linens, dishes, utensils, microwave, dishwasher, TV, DVD, washer/dryer, fireplace, large deck, and an outdoor firepit. It's a great place for fisherman! Catch & release great rainbows and brooks on site or fish the Colorado River 3 miles away. There are 3 great fishing and boating reservoirs within 5-15 miles. We are away from the crowds but close enough to enjoy major ski areas such as Silver Creek, Snow Mountain, Winter Park, and Keystone. We are 2 miles from Parshall, Co and 12 miles from Kremmling, Co in the heart of great hunting for deer and elk. As well as snowmobiling and Nordic skiing.

The natural hot springs of Hot Sulfur for soaking and swimming are just 5 miles away. Rafting the Colorado River is provided by several excellent companies located in Kremmling.

Annual Family Fishing Trip

We enjoy our stay at Grandma's House each year for our annual fishing trip and family reunion. The lodging makes a great location for fishing and exploring the beautiful area year after year. And as all fishermen know, it's not always about the fish. Just a great place to relax and catch up with the family on an annual basis. The Scholl's are very welcoming and such nice people to visit each year! This just makes it all the better to stay at this nice, hidden, and well situated property. The house has everything you could ask for and more. We are scheduled to arrive again this September and hope there will still be some Grand Junction peaches that we can bring to the Scholl's. Look forward to seeing you again Pat and Duane!

Whatever brings you to the Parshall/Kremmilng area, this is the place to stay!

I have been staying at properties on VRBO for about 5 years and this is my first review. My husband and I planned a trip out to Parshall to visit a client of ours in the area. I saw Grandma's House on VRBO and thought what a great place for us to take the kids along on our business trip and make it last a few days. I cannot express enough how nice Pat and Duane and all the Scholl family is. The place is clean and inviting, not to mention spacious for a family or group of couples. They have everything you need to drop your bags and stay awhile.
We had a late arrival and they "left the light on" for us, and pastries for our breakfast. (One of their children owns the best little coffee shop in town so hit it up if you like the good stuff). We had a mini tour the next day and were invited to meander through the ranch and see newborn calves. Our business kept us away most of our visit, but I would have liked spending more time just on the property and fishing there. My kids did love feeding the fish though. There is Hot Sulpher springs nearby and lots of hunting right in the area. We saw 100 head of deer out in the middle of the day! Turned out as it were after we settled in that the Scholls were friends with our clients and we shared a few laughs about that as well. All the other reviews are true to the niceness of the property and it's owners. I would recommend this property to family or friends going to the area. I hope to be back there again soon. Thanks Pat and Duane, we really had a great time.

Mothers Day at Grandma's House

Usually it's my wife that picks the place to stay but this time it being Mothers Day weekend I was left to surprise the wife and of course the kids with a weekend away. I was quite nervous on my pick for Grandmas House but was hoping in any case that they Hot Sulphur Springs would compensate for my lack of experience in finding nice rentals. So I left a message at the phone # and received a call back and quickly made the reservation. On the business side they are very honest, super friendly and strait forward with what they charge, which is always appreciated since I can name so many times we have been negatively surprised from unmentioned fees..etc. When we arrived I realized that the photos really don't do this property justice. The feeling you experience of coziness, warmth and really being at Great Grandmas House on a Farm yet with all the modern updates is wonderful. My wife and kids kept on talking about how great a place it was ...so I guess I did good... the pond kept the kids fishing...the owners stopped by (once we settled in) to answer questions and deliver some baked goods...you would think that you were renting the place from family... The overall experience was wonderfully relaxing and fun. My wife says we are going back again someday....which says a lot because we seldom stay in the same rental twice. To the owners: A BIG THANK YOU!!!
