Loft with 3 beds in the ancient heart of Venice, on the bank of the Grand Canal

Apartment on two levels, of 51 sqm., for 2/3 persons, located on the 2nd floor, without elevator, of a building of the early 1800's, restored in 2011.

The accommodation comprises: an entrance hallway, a small hall with a lovely view over the Grand Canal and the Rialto Market, divided into a working area with kitchenette-dining area and a sitting area with sofa bed, a wardrobe with a single bed, a bathroom with shower, a loft with a double bed and a small store. An additional warehouse is located on the floor below.

The accommodation is equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, wi-fi access.

The small accommodation with Mezzanine, as aforesaid, has just been restored. Only the stairwell to access to the apartment, after having been placed in safety, it is still waiting for the authorization of the Superintendence, to which all buildings that overlook the Grand Canal they are subject, for Renovation.

The style of care, the intense brightness, the oak beams, the gondolas and the Grand Canal ... give this little garret a unique charm.

The small bright Attic is located in a charming location in the 'Campo de la Pescaria', where every day (except Sundays) is held the lively and picturesque Market Town of Fish and Vegetables. This is the only one Venetian 'Campo' (Square) which leans out on the Grand Canal and, delimited to the right by the 'Fabbriche Nuove' of Jacopo Sansovino, it looks at the Ca' d'Oro'.

Just look out the windows to be absorbed in a typical Venetian atmosphere, to observe the passage of gondolas and motor boats and to enjoy the beauty of the palaces on the water.

Gone out of the apartment you are in the heart of the City: 'bacari', restaurants, shops and stores of all kinds...

The central location allows you to easily reach in few minutes some of the most famous monuments, including the Basilica dei Frari and the Scuola Grande di San Rocco.

Overcome the Rialto Bridge, a walk of 10 minutes leads through the 'Mercerie'' ('Marzarie' in Venetian), that is the main commercial artery of the City with its system of 'calli' (where shops of luxury and boutiques of high fashion they lean out, from Gucci to Cartier, from Vuitton to Bulgari...), up to Piazza San Marco.

The Island of Lido, the exclusive beach of Venice, a true treasure chest of Liberty, where every year is taking place the Venice International Film Festival, it is connected to the City and to the mainland by efficient boats, 'vaporetti' and ferry calling at its main ports.

In the 'Campo de la Pescaria' there is the Stop 'Rialto Mercato' for the Vaporetto Line 1 (mt. 20.00 from the apartment), which allows you to visit the entire City and the Lido, the Beach of Venice, and there is the 'St. Sofia' Gondola Service (mt. 10.00,) that allows you to cross the Grand Canal and reach the other bank of the channel, and that, together, make very easy to access to the apartment.

A Public Pier in 'Campo de la Pescaria' allows to the Water Taxis disembarkation and embarkation of Guests in front of the apartment.

Wonderful apartment!

The pictures of this apartment seem too good to be true, so I kept my expectations low, thinking they must have been taken down the street or around the corner. The views are just as beautiful as they seem. It was a perfect spot to enjoy a long breakfast - grab some fruit downstairs at the market, make some coffe, and put your feet up as you watch the boats go by. Only one morning were we woken up by them setting up, the rest was very quiet. The location couldn't be better - so central to everything! Michela and her husband were accommodating in every way. I would highly recommend to my friends and family to stay there. A few odds and ends that would make the stay a little more comfortable - some paper towels, a sponge, wine glasses, and dish soap. But overall, an extremely affordable apartment for the area and LOVED it.

Lovely Apartment

We recently returned from a 4 week holiday to Italy of which we stayed in 6 different locations. In 5 of the towns we rented private accommodation and the 6th was a hotel; therefore my rating is in comparison to them.

Upon arrival Michela met us at our Vaporetto stop which was fantastic. After travelling direct from Canada it was wonderful to see her. You'll especially appreciate this when you see all of the lost soles wondering the streets of Venice looking for their accommodation.

It was about a 5 - 10 minute walk to the apartment. Upon arrival I have to say I was a bit hesitant about the interior of the building (it is Venice though) but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the apartment, which is up 2 flights of stairs and on the top floor. It truly was lovely and more importantly spotless. The photos of the apartment and of the view accurately reflect both.

The location too was fantastic, especially if you're eating in. The market and a butcher are literally at your front door and a bakery is just around the corner. It's an easy walk to a vaporetta stop and all of the other sites in Venice.

I only have 2 very minor comments. The shower, albeit nice, has to contend with very old plumbing; therefore it doesn't drain very well and showers need to be relatively quick. The other is that the market opens very early and can be noisy. It's mostly the unloading of the supplies from the Grand Canal. These are pretty trivial concerns but I would want to know.

As for Venice it's fantastic and we could have stayed a week instead of only the 4 nights. We enjoyed getting around by Vaporetto and walked and walked and walked. We went to the islands of Murano and Burano (enjoyed Burano more), saw the Doge Palace and took the elevator up to the top of the Campanile (bell tower). If you're a photo buff you'll definitely want to see the view from the top. We ate at very small family run restaurants within a block or 2 of the apartment and preferred these over the larger touristy ones that we saw. Unfortunately I can't remember their names.

I would definitely recommend this apartment to family & friends.

Lovely apartment

This is a beautiful apartment overlooking the Rialto Market and Grand Canal. Michaela are her husband couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming.
The photos don't really do it justice. All very modern and clean. Very nice bathroom with a great shower. All beautifully decorated.
It's in a great location 2 minutes walk from the Rialto Bridge. It's lovely in the morning to get fresh croissant from just round the corner and watch the market from the window/ drink prosecco in the evening and watch the canal. There is also a supermarket approximately 5 minutes away.
We stayed here for 3 days, sadly not enough. I'd recommend this apartment to anybody, would certainly book again.

Very beautiful Apartment

We spent 5 wonderful days in this romantic attic, placed in a very special spot. The apartment is made up of two levels, it is very cozy, well furnished, welcoming and very comfortable. It is also very clean and equipped with everything needed.
Its position is wonderful. The apartment is just by the Rialto Bridge, in “Campo de la Pescaria”, where every day the fish market takes place. The window on the second floor overlook the market and the Grand Canal, right besides the famous “Ca’ d’Oro”. Even just staying in bed we could enjoy the awesome view.
The show is amazing even in November, when at night it gets a bit foggy and Venice and its buildings become magic.
The photos posted in the website, taken from inside the apartment, can only give an idea of the beauty of this place, both an important meeting point for the citizens of Venice, and a main part of any touristic tour.
In the surroundings you can find restaurants, bars, “bacari” (typical venetian places to hang out), bakeries, butcher’s shops, deli shops, apothecaries. There is a pharmacy very close, as well as an ATM machine on the corner of the “Calle”. There is even a Vaporetto Stop just 20 meters from the “Campo”, which is perfect for the discovery of the City of Venice.
The greeting was great and the owners were kind, very nice and helpful.
I truly hope we will be able to go back.

sejour magnifique

L'appartement est vraiment tel qu on peut le voir sur les photos. Propre, bien entretenu, Michela est adorable, et ses explications pour trouver tout ce dont nous avons besoin aux alentours sont très utile. Encore merci! Et la vue sur le grand canal est magnifique!
Mais l'atout majeur de cet endroit est son emplacement central dans Venise. A 2minutes à pied du Rialto, à 15-20 minutes maximum de tout les quartiers.
Seul petit bémol, nous avons eu des problèmes avec la douche le matin ( pas le soir) , 5 minutes d'eau chaude, et pas de sel, poivre ou huile pour la cuisine.
Mais ce sont vraiment des détails insignifiant au vu du séjour magique que nous avons passé à Venise!! Nous recommandons vivement!
