The Fairways at Mauna Lani is a new luxurious privately gated community located on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. The highly sought after two bedroom 'A' floor plan at the Fairways is perfect for couples traveling together. This is not to be confused with the smaller 'C' floor plan. The town home enjoys incredible views of the golf course and with its western exposure, great sunsets from either of the large two private lanais. Enjoy your privacy in this spacious unit with no neighbors above or below you. Both lanais face the golf course and are perfectly situated for one of the best views in the entire development. The unit has been thoughtfully furnished in a contemporary Asian Island style. With the additional sofa bed in the living room makes it ideal for the vacationing family. The townhouse is ideal for relaxing with friends and family after a day spent exploring the Big Island or after a round of golf at either of the two Mauna Lani golf courses. Guest at our unit will be eligible for significant golf discounts at Mauna Lani.
Need to be close to a beach? Guest will also have gate access to Mauna Lani's Private Beach Club which is only a 4 minute drive away. We are also just a few minutes from Hapuna Beach , one of Kona's best beaches. If you prefer not to use the complementary Fairways private gym and pool, you can use the facilities at the Mauna Lani Sport and Fitness Club for a small additional fee. Tennis is also available at the Sport and Fitness Club as well as Pilates.
The gourmet kitchen, with granite counters and GE appliances, has everything you will need to create a wonderful meal. The living room has flat panel 42' Plasma TV/DVD and DVR to record your favorite programs while you are out. Digital high definition cable television for your enjoyment. Complimentary DSL/Internet/Wifi and even a computer/printer are included for your personal use.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed, ceiling fan, flat screen TV/DVD, large private master bath with Jacuzzi tub, a large private retreat adjacent to a large balcony overlooking the golf course. On most days you can see the ocean and Maui in the distance . The second bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, ceiling fan, full private bathroom and a flat panel LCD TV.
Take in that perfect evening island air while having cocktails on either of the two covered private lanai’s. BBQ some steaks in your private Viking gas BBQ located on the lower lanai. The unit also includes a large private washer and dryer. Plenty of linens are provided. The large upstairs lanai has two comfortable lounge chairs perfect to watch the sunset over the golf course.
This private gated community consists of 21 two-story villas situated along the Francis Brown Golf Course in Mauna Lani. Each villa contains six individual townhouses built in a traditional Hawaiian architecture. The low-density design and location along the golf course are ideal for relaxing and taking in the beauty of Hawaii - from the lush plant life to the gentle trade winds. A few yards away is the beautiful community swimming pool with two waterfalls and hot tub as well as the private fitness center, Weber barbecues, and Clubhouse with party deck, kitchen and lounge.
Just about a two-block walk from the town home is the luxurious Fairmont Orchid Hotel. Have drinks one night at the Ocean Bar just before sunset at the Orchid and see the turtles lazing on the white sand beached just steps away from you. The Orchid also has a great beach, water sports and fine dining. Other nearby luxury resorts includes Hapuna Prince Hotel, Mauna Kea Resort and the Hilton Waikoloa.
Just recently opened are the Shops at Mauna Lani which is with in walking distance of the Fairways. Foodland Gourmet Supermarket within a half mile walk. Have cocktails and dinner while watching the sunset at Tommy Bahamas just a few minutes walk away.

It was a pleasure to stay in such a well planned ,well equiped condo, all needed kitchen equipment , beach stuff and computer access- no need to bring a laptop to check in. We have stayed in the area before so we went mostly to the Beach Club and relaxed.

My wife and I stayed at Wilson and Alice's villa for three weeks in February and March. The villa is outstanding and very well appointed. It is well stocked with housewares and beach equipment. Access to the private beach club was very much appreciated and it is a great place to spend the day with private chairs, cabana's and restaurant available for use. For a change of pace, the beaches at Mauna Kea and Hapuna were a short drive away. We made full use of the beautiful on site pool and exercise room. Shopping and restaurants were a convenient short walk away. Wilson and Alice were great to work with and we will certainly consider the villa in our furture Big Island vacation plans!
Property was clean and well-represented. Owner was easy and great to deal with. Anytime we had questions, they answered it fast! Would recommend this place. Loved the community pool, nice and big, not small as the other pools on other properties, so you don't feel crowded even when its' packed with people!
We stayed at Wilson and Alice's place for a week in Jan 2012 and loved every moment. The place is beautiful, with such nice decorating- the pictures still didn't prepare us for how nice it really is. We stayed here with another couple with a 7 week old baby, and found the place VERY sound proof, which meant we slept so well. Alice and Wilson were so organized, and were so easy to deal with, it has been such a great experience fo us.
We'd have breakfast on the lanai, then head off for some time at the beach, or pool (we thought it was the nicest of all the area pools we saw photos of). The private beach was nice, with lots of chairs to use, and we saw many colourful fish while snorkeling. Hapuna beach nearby (less than 10 min drive N) was awesome for boogie boarding, playing in the waves and walking on the beach. We explored the island easily from this area, and found it conveniently located, but not too close to the busier areas of Kona.

A stylish and immaculately maintained golf course condo in an upscale neighborhood within walking distance of excellent beaches, hotels, restaurants and shops - and a good value to boot.
We recently spent three very enjoyable weeks in your condo. We especially appreciated the comfortable furnishings, the use of an on-site grill, and above all, the unit being well maintained and clean. Your prompt response to any questions that we may have had was appreciated. The view from the upper lanai was fantastic, and we spent much time there. We would highly recommend this unit.
Wilson & Alice, thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. We have been to the Big Island numerous times before, but this was by far the best home we have ever rented. Your home is beautifully decorated, very clean & is very well-equipped in every area. We really appreciated having beach chairs, snorkels & boogie boards for our use, plus having use of your computer saved us having to bring a laptop. The beds are very comfy & the unit was so quiet & peaceful, we thoroughly enjoyed our month of R & R. We will definitely recommend this unit to our friends & will hopefully be able to stay here again on our next visit to the Big Island.
