  • CANCELLATION BY YOU: Booking cancellation and no show charges are as below:- 1 to 13 nights stay: There is no charge, if a guaranteed booking is cancelled 48 hous prior to arrival date. Notice given within 48 hours prior to arrival date will be subject of cost of deposit or the first nights charge.- 14 to 30 nights stay: 7 nights notice is required before an arrival date to avoid cancellation fee. Failure to do so will be subject of 7 nights charge.-30 and above: 14 nights notice is required before an arrival date to avoid cancellation fee.Failure to do so will be subject of 14 nights charge. Cancellations after check-in are not accepted and the client is responsible for the entire stay.

I would say that my recommendation for this studio apartment depends on the length and type of your stay. My 13-yr old son and I came to London for a vacation for 6 nights. For our purposes, the studio was fine. The beds were comfortable and we slept very well, there was a wardrobe for me to hang up/lay out my clothes, the shower had hot water, and the location was perfect for catching a bus or riding the tube. We were also very close to Notting Hill and could walk to many restaurants. We basically used it for sleeping and ate out every meal. They have maid service so when we came home late at night, it was nice to see our beds had been made.

We only used the kitchen for washing up (because the bathroom sink was so tiny) except for one night when we tried to cook ramen noodles. At first everything seemed fine, but when I tried to use the microwave, the fuse blew in the kitchen so we couldn't use anything. It was too late to call the front desk for assistance (they close at 11 pm), so the only option we had was to plug in the electric kettle in the living room to boil water and then soak the noodles in a bowl. That was rather frustrating.

My biggest complaint is that every time we walked up the two flights to our studio it reeked of cigarette smoke, and the smell even seeped into our bathroom. I complained to the manager a few times and she said she'd come and see who was smoking b/c it wasn't allowed, but it continued to smell so either the manager didn't do anything or the renters just ignored the rule.

Also on the negative side, the room felt a little grundgy. There was a hole in the wood floor by my bed that hadn't been patched and it felt run-down and old. The bathroom was also a bit run-down, but it did have hot water, which was good. The bathroom sink was so tiny you really couldn't even wash your face there, so as I said, we used the kitchen sink.

If you're looking for a cozy place to hang out in, do work, or to cook in the kitchen, I wouldn't recommend it. But if you're looking for a place just to sleep in with a great location, it's fine.

Clean, well presented and suited our needs very well. Friendly and helpful staff. It was a great help that we could leave our bags there after we had checked out so we didn't have to take them round London for the day

Outstanding

I was a bit worried since this place gets mixed reviews, but we got a lovely room on the first floor. The room had big south facing windows, so lots of light and easy to get some fresh air. Room was quite big for London, and the bed was nice and big as well, comfy and with a real duvet. Bathroom was nice and clean and had a bathtub + shower and plenty of towels, soaps etc. Nice little kitchen, sofa and dining area. There is a big organic supermarket just 2-300 meters from the hotel and also lots of other shops (Tesco, Sainsbury's, M&S Food +more). There are coffee and tea making facilities in the room. Location is really convenient, close to Bayswater, Queensway and Paddington Tube stations. Hyde Park is a 10 minute walk away, and we also walked to Portobello Road. Just behind the hotel is a Barclay's bicycle hire station. Brilliant concept - pay £1 per bike pr. day and after that you just take out a bike, drive to whereever you are going and leave it at another docking station. The docking stations are all over town, and if you use the bike 30 minutes or less, it is free. This was a perfect way for us to explore the city and avoid the sometimes congested tube. Maps of all the docking stations are available at Tourist Informations. Whiteley's shopping mall is just 200 meters from the hotel. It's a quiet place but has some of the high street shops, a cinema, restaurants etc. A nice place. On the main road, Queensway, is a lot of reasonably priced restaurants. We also went to a very popular Persian restaurant, Anoulak, just next to the organic supermarket. Very popular, so we had to queue, but absolutely worth it and very reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again.

The appartments are very close to Bayswater high street which has a number of shop, supermarkets, restuarants and tube station. Can't go wrong.

Affordable Apartments

Lovely and quiet. Very comfortable beds. Self catering facilities. Nobody bothered us. Very close to tube station and shops especially Whiteleys of Bayswater shopping centre, cinema and restaurants.
