For your self catering holiday the barn has been beautifully renovated, decorated and furnished to a very high but cosy standard. The large swimming pool is completely enclosed, for the safety of young children and planted with abundant fragrant roses. Within the barn is satellite TV, DVD player, a large selection of books, DVDs and board games for all ages. From the south facing, private, sun drenched patio, enjoy magnificent views over the tranquil French countryside while you BBQ your dinner sipping on a glass of Sancerre. The large private garden laid mainly to lawn has fruit trees and children's swings. The games room provides indoor facilities including a pool table, table tennis, darts and other games. There are many bicycles in a range of sizes for you to enjoy this peaceful rural countryside. All amenities, utilities and linen are included in the rental cost.

Set in this idyllic area of rural france there are local markets, restaurants, shops and cafes to give you a real taste of traditional French life. Within the local area there are facilities for fishing, walking, cycling, horse riding, tennis, golf and canoeing. Our enviable location gives guests easy access for days out to Parc Beauval, Futuroscope, Valencay, Tours, Blois, the Brenne National Parc and world famous châteaux. There are magnificent 13th-century cathedrals in Chartres and Tours, as well as abbeys and mansions and charming riverside towns and villages. Other places of outstanding interest include Orléans, famous for its associations with Jeanne d’Arc, with a beautiful cathedral, the Musée des Beaux Arts and 16th-century Hôtel de Ville; and Bourges, a 15th-century town complete with old houses, museums and the Cathedral of St-Étienne. There are many local wines to taste in Anjou, Coteaux du Layon, Saumur, Touraine, Bourgueil, Vouvray, Pouilly Fumé and Sancerre.

  • A nonrefundable deposit of 25% of your full rental is required to secure your booking. The balance of the rental must be paid no later than six weeks prior to your arrival. A refundable breakages deposit of €1000 is payable on arrival, to be refunded on departure, subject to a satisfactory property inspection.

    Please note that the rental rates include all utilities.

    Discounts will be offered on rentals of more than two weeks in Summer.

    Rentals are payable by bank transfer in Euros.

    Rates are listed for the whole house, regardless of the number of people.

    Check in is at 4pm on the day of arrival and check out at 10am on the day of departure. We will try to accommodate you as long as it does not inconvenience other guests.
  • To enhance your relaxation, we offer a welcome basket containing a bottle of wine, orange juice, baguette, butter and jam. We also offer a payable grocery collection service so that upon your arrival, all you have to do is unpack your car! Your kitchen cupboards, fridge and freezer will be stocked per your order. A payable daily baguette and croissant collection is also offered.
  • We may also arrange a cleaning service at your request.

  • The huge bathroom is fully equipped with twin basins in a unit with ample space for your hygiene requirements. It also has a hairdryer. The shower is large enough for two and has wonderful water pressure with immediate hot water and a glass door. The bath is a large corner bath and offers wonderful private views across the countryside. The water boiler is enclosed and has storage for both bath and swimming towels and a laundry basket.

  • There is a comfortable day bed in the large lounge which can sleep an 8th guest. The Blue Room has an inter leading door into the French Room which is very convenient for parents with small children but likewise is completely suitable for adults. The Blue Room is bright and airy and has stunning views across the country side. The Green Room, my favourite, is large but feels cosy and like home.
