6th Arrondissement St Germain des Pres Vacation Rental apartment

I stayed in this property with my six year old daughter on her first trip to Paris and we had a great time.

The property met all expectations generated by the web site and email communications with the owner. It was perfectly clean and well maintained, and had all the amenities we needed. It is in a great neighborhood with many restaurants and other attractions, with good transport options (such as a range of nearby metro/RER stations, including one just around the corner). The building's staircase is old and quite poorly maintained, in sharp contrast with the flat (and the others in the building as far as I could tell), but we were warned about that by the owner and it was no problem in any way.

The owner was very helpful and efficient in setting up the rental in advance. She also helped us settle in on arrival and made a notable effort to make my daughter feel comfortable. We had no problems during our stay, but I was very much given the impression that the owners would have been there to help us out.

The property has a nice open kitchen/seating area downstairs that can handle 3-4 people (with an optional double sofa bed), and a comfortable double bed with restroom and shower upstairs. The layout is somewhat open because the large windows run across both levels (which is very attractive, but may not yield enough privacy if you are traveling with a half-stranger). The property suited our party- father and six year old daughter- very well, and would also be perfect for a couple. I would also consider staying here with my wife and one or both of our young children, or with a friend. Because there is no elevator, I would not recommend the flat to anyone who has trouble climbing some stairs (but my six year old had no problems going up and down).

I would certainly recommend this property to a friend- in fact, I already did- and I will definitely try to return if and when visiting Paris again with a suitable party.

Immaculately clean and very well equipped with modern fittings. Ideally situated with a good choice of local restaurants and bars within walking distance. Access to metro etc very close for exploring Paris, and a short walk from Luxembourg gardens. A perfect place to relax at the end of the day with space to unwind.. a real home from home.
Only suitable for able bodied couples, (no lift to 3rd floor apartment, so 3 flights of stairs to climb)

We really enjoyed our stay at L'Atelier. It was the perfect location to see the sights. I recommend visiting Tour Montparnasse (only a few streets away) around 11pm to see the view of the Eiffel Tower sparkling! Having a metro station close by was also ideal. We felt at home in the apartment so much that it made going and seeing the sights difficult at times. And it was always nice to come back to after a long day of walking. There are a couple of little grocery stores nearby that we visited daily! Thanks Joelle for the wonderful home away from home.
