Chiclana de la Frontera Vacation Rental villa: Pago del Humo

My family and I have just returned from an 11 night stay at the villa. The villa is located in a small village, a short drive from the gorgeous 'la barrossa' beach with a friendly local bar/restaurant and shop at the end of the road.
The villa was simple to find thanks to the information pack sent to us by the owners, which also contained plenty of useful information about the surrounding area and local amenities. The villa is excellently maintained by a British couple who were very helpful, friendly and easy to contact for obtaining the keys. It had everything we could need and more, with so many kitchen utensils that we we couldn't figure out what to do with some of them!. There was a dishwasher, outdoor bar-b-q (for cooking the delicious local fish), a good sized pool, spacious garden and even a high chair and travel cot for our 14 month-old daughter.
All bedrooms are clean, comfy and spacious with air-conditioning if needed, and plenty of hot water is provided by solar or gas. The owners have even provided a water filtration system so we didn't have to spend money on bottled water.
The welcome pack bailed us out since we arrived on a Sunday and, unlike the UK, many of the shops in Spain still close on Sundays. The bread, milk and jam kept our tired, hungry daughter quiet and the bottle of wine kept my wife quiet!
The local shop is sufficient or you can visit one of the supermarkets en route to the beach if you need a bit more, either way all are easy to find.
During our stay we visited the city of Seville (90mins drive) and the nearby city of Cadiz (20mins drive). Both are very highly recommended and absolutely stunning cities that really deserve a visit if you have the time. Our daughter was made so welcome by the Spanish wherever we went during the day or night, and she can now just about say 'hola'.
The sandy beaches in the area are clean and family friendly. 'La Barrossa' has a good selection of restaurants and cafes but isn't overdeveloped like much of the rest of southern Spain. It has showers, spotless toilets and a play park for the little ones. A little further 'Sancti Petri' beach (not Novo Sancti Petri in the opposite direction) is quieter, and the small bay by the old fishing village provided calm water for our daughter to play in.
We have recommended this villa to our friends and family and are looking forward to returning.
