Magical vacation in Ouray, the Switzerland of Colorado
We stayed at this place with three other couples in June during a hot week. It was absolutely wonderful. The house is spacious, well maintained and works exceptionally well for a large group of people. We loved gathering around the huge dining table and sitting out on the porch talking and looking at the view for hours. The kitchen is large and bright and has all the amenities for several cooks to operate. The living room has lots of light, space, good seating areas and incomparable views. We loved the artwork on the walls as well - a great place to gather and relax. The bedrooms are very comfortable, quiet and peaceful. Each has its own special view of mountains or the woods. Some open up to the deck which surrounds the front and side of the house. It is private, quiet, and perfect for a relaxing and beautiful vacation. Watching the moon rise over the mountains is unforgettable.
We have stayed in many places, including mountain homes in Switzerland. But none was as comfortable, inviting and spacious as this one. With all the activities possible in Ouray one could easily stay here for two or three weeks. Hiking in the high mountains, swimming in the hot springs, climbing the challenging walls and peaks or descending into Box Canyon are just a few of the highlights. One can read, paint, play games endlessly. Then there is good dining and again just gazing at the gorgeous views from this house is incomparable.
