Nemo is a luxury self-catering apartment on the small Saneil complex, built in an unrivaled location between Kalkan and Kalamar Bays. It is set in landscaped gardens and shares a beautiful large pool surrounded by an extensive sunbathing area. Nemo is situated on the ground floor in an enviable position at the far end of the complex, with olive groves to the side. Its private patio overlooks the pool and offers welcome shade for much of the day in the high season. There is a small garden next to the patio that we have landscaped ourselves. It has a seat and a hammock and is full of tropical plants, including an orange and lemon tree that we hope will soon bear fruit for our gin and tonics and Pimms! Nemo has been comfortably furnished and can sleep up to five people. The area around Kalkan is full of interest: beaches, shops and restaurants are within walking distance of the apartment. Kalkan's friendly people, charm and atmosphere cannot be described adequately in words.

Between Fethiye and Kas, Kalkan is a fishing village of unrivaled charm, nestled between the sea and soaring Taurus Mountains. Its old town is a maze of narrow, cobbled streets that lead down to the harbour, home to elegant Turkish gulets that can be hired for lazy days out at sea. Kalkan has a wonderful array of shops that sell high quality Turkish goods and boasts a multitude of excellent rooftop and harbourside restaurants that serve top quality freshly cooked food. Kalkan has a small pebble beach and several beach clubs - rock gardens cut into the hillside beside the sea. Some offer water sports such as water skiing, banana rides, jet ski and diving. Nearby are Kaputas Beach, a spectacular sandy cove and Patara, 18km of golden sand backed by dunes and home to protected turtles. Historic sites nearby include Xanthos, Letoon, and the sunken city of Kekova. Activities available include jeep safaris, canoeing, white-water rafting, paragliding, sailing, horse riding, sea kayaking.

  • We prefer to take bookings Monday - Monday in the high season but are flexible at other times, when we are happy to accept bookings of less than one week depending on demand.
  • Prices do not include flights, transfers/car hire or travel insurance. A deposit of £200 is payable at time of booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before arrival. This includes £100 damages deposit, which will be returned to you within two weeks of your arrival home, provided there is no major damage to the apartment or its contents (other than normal wear and tear).

Fantastic apartment with superb views and the cleanest and warmest pool I've ever experienced! The small private garden was a lovely bonus - especially the hammock. The pool and apartment are very well maintained and serviced with an onsite manager and the owner was very helpful in providing information about cheaper local carhire and local places of interest before our trip. It is every bit as lovely as the photos suggest!

Kalkan was a great choice with plenty to see and do in the area and has a great choice of restaurants to suit all budgets. If a local sandy beach is an important daily requirement for you (it wasn't for us), then Patara is a few km away but well worth a visit however the various Kalkan beach clubs also provide good facilities.

Highly recommended!
