Mas Tolosan is a 17th century farmhouse that has been renovated in a modern style without loosing any of the original charm. The garden is fragrant and colorful, the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, relax by the pool or sip a glass of wonderful local wine.
We have 4 double bedrooms with private bathrooms plus a 100m2 holiday apartment perfect for a family vacation. The enclosed pool is open from May to October.
An old barn was renovated in 2010 to house the 4 B&B rooms, each room has been individually decorated with taste, style and charm.
We offer breakfast (included in the B&B price) and dinner service. Both are served in the fragrant and colorful garden. Your car is securely parked in our courtyard at no extra cost.
We have created 4 spacious and comfortable rooms with independent bathrooms and inspired deco. The rooms all have a different theme, you choose if you want to spend the night dreaming of being a Gardian (the cowboy of the Camargue), or being a Toreador in the ancient arenas, walk in the steps of Vincent van Gogh (who spent a noteworthy and important period in the area), or immerse yourself in the plays of Henrik Ibsen.
Each room has an en-suite bathroom with modern shower, some with massage jets, some with radio. The rooms have big comfortable beds - Ibsen has a King sized bed (180x200) for those who enjoy their space during sleep, Toreador and van Gogh have both Queen sized beds (160x200) and Gardian has two single beds (90x200) for those who prefer to sleep alone.
We serve breakfast whenever and where ever you prefer, be it the garden, next to the pool, the kitchen or in your room. Our breakfasts are hearty and fulfilling with homemade bread and jams, fresh fruits, juice, yoghurt and a piping hot ‘bol de cafe au lait’ or a large ‘cuppa’.
Fancy a morning dip? Our pool is secured and accessible from morning until evening for our guests. Our garden has been created with 4 individual terraces for you to choose from. You can relax in the sun next to our cactus garden, enjoy a glass of local wine by our herb garden, read the morning paper under the olive tree or plan the day’s adventure surrounded by colourful flowers and the smell of lavender.
The apartment has been decorated with the feria in mind. Feria is the yearly bull-fights and bullgame demonstrations in the village arena. The feria is the atmosphere and the spirit of the region. At Mas Tolosan you will feel the atmosphere of the Camargue as you step through the door. The apartment, measuring 96m2, has two bedrooms, one with queen sized bed (160x200) and one with 2 single beds (90x200). air conditioning, a mezzanine perfect for the kids’ play area, a fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine. The living room is fitted with a sofa-bed that sleeps two, TV and DVD player. The secured pool and fragrant garden is at your disposal, with wifi access.
Mas Tolosan is situated in Vauvert on the pilgrimage road of St Jacques de Compostelle between Nimes and Arles. As well as the bull-fighting demonstrations from April until September, Vauvert is famous for its summer jazz festival and the cloth festival and exhibition Atout Fil in the spring. Around Vauvert there are plenty of activities to take part in and places of interest to visit.
•The historic city of Nimes is only 18k away with its Roman arena, historic ruins and many museums.
•Arles is worth a visit only 25km away for its exhibitions, art galleries and beautifully renovated arena.
•A visit to the medieval town of Aigues-Mortes is only 23km away with its famous and well-preserved fortifications from the 13-century.
