Villa Boreas is a traditional Cretan villa with wide stone walls and exposed wooden beams, but with the conveniences you expect from a new build property. Lying just outside the village of Kefalas, villa Boreas is set amidst hillside grazing and olive trees and offers a peaceful, rural family holiday location. As one of four villas on an extensive plot, the villa has been built into the hills with magnificent views of the sea to the front, and headlands to both sides. The villa has been designed and furnished to very high standards with the main living areas on the top floor to maximise the views. From the lounge and kitchen areas there are French doors leading onto an extensive covered balcony terrace which is perfect for al-fresco dining. For those seeking the sun, the balcony terrace leads to the main garden area, with flowers beds and a further large outdoor dining area for those family bbqs. A further short flight of steps down is the private pool with sun loungers and shower.

For those wishing to venture further afield, the villa is a 10 minute walk from the local 'Inka' mini mart in the small village of Kefalas, and a short drive (7km) from the beach resorts of both Almirida to the north and Georgioupoli to the south, with their long sandy beaches, shops and Tavernas where you can eat a mixture of traditional and European food. Chania with it's Venetian Harbour and extensive shopping is 30kms away, and can offer fishing, diving and other excursions, and the famous White Mountains and Samaria Gorge are also within an easy drive of the villa.

A Cretan Gem

The villa has a very nice kitchen/sitting area that makes the stay very comfortable. There are enough beds to easily sleep 8.

The location is perfect for exploring all of western Crete. A short drive down out of the winding hillside gets you on the National Road within minutes. Once on the National Road, you can be anywhere in the west of Crete within a few hours. So many places to visit, so little time.

The Villa has a great terrace for evening sitting. The pool is wonderful after a day of sightseeing. There is enough room available that an extended party can spread out and not be in each others way.
If you have the time, ( you will definetely want to spend more than a few days), and an auto, this is a great location, a wonderful villa, and a charming base for exploring.

We showed pictures to our friends and family and they are now interested in staying at the villa. That is a true test of good tourism. If your relatives wish to follow and stay in the same place, it must be a very good location.

This is a definite high praise recommendation for a future stay at this villa.

Beautiful villa in a quiet village. Great sea vie.

We stayed in the villa in the 2nd half of June. 2 families with kids aged between 7 and 13. The layout of the villa is very practical with bedrooms on the ground floor seperated from the living area upstairs. The villa is well built, lots of nice details in the interior. Decent quality furniture. Great, large terrace with beautiful views. The cleaning team arrived every 4th day. They focused on the bedrooms and the bathroom. We had to do the cleaning ourselves upstairs during the 2 weeks. Kefalas is a 10 min walk. There are 3 restaurants and 2 shops. We tried 2 of the restaurants, both of them had good Cretan food at great value and very friendly staff. We rented 2 cars and travelled to lots of places on the island. We had a great holiday.

We want to thank you for the excellent villa we were able to hire from you. Everything in villa Boreas was in top condition. We really did not miss anything. Our compliments for the service and all the things that was
thought about: the DVD films, CD's, barbeque, the bottle of wine in the fridge, the tourist information, etc. We will really recommend your house to relatives and friends who want to visit Crete. The relaxing atmosphere, the unbelievable view over the Mediterranean Sea and the fact that you only hear birds and nothing else is breathtaking. We visited a lot of places such as, Knossos, Aptera, the
Samaria Gorge, the city Chania. Everything was as you described in the ad. Our rating is a "full 10"
