Le Fleix village is just over 1km and has a small supermarket, post office, petrol station, 2 bakers, butcher, bar/restaurant and 2 hair dressers. It's a pleasant walk or you may borrow one of our bicycles if you are feeling not quite so energetic. Ste Foy La Grande, a charming old bastide town set on the River Dordogne with delightful town centre, is 7km and has a superb Saturday market, larger supermarkets and a multitude of other shops and restaurants. Bergerac is 17 kms and is also an old bastide town set on the river Dordogne and also with a picturesque town centre surrounded by restaurants. There are many shops, boutiques and supermarkets here too. The airport is just outside the town and is less than 20 minutes from our house. GOLF 15 minutes drive from Le Fleix is the superb golf course of Les Vigiers. This is an 18 hole course and is testing enough to satisfy regular golfers but not too tough for the lesser player. Green fees are very reasonable.

Les Vigiers also has a swimming pool, a bistro-style restaurant and the more expensive restaurant for a special night out in the chateau. There is also a health spa and fitness salon so that the ladies can enjoy pampering themselves whilst their menfolk fight it out on the course.
