Swallows View is tucked away in a quiet location not far from the castle that crowns the village. The house is a one double-bedroom open plan property with an additional single futon bed in the living area. The views from its patio garden and windows are stunning. You can see the bay and look down onto the harbour and watch the comings and goings of the fishing and pleasure boats.

Cobbled paths and roads lead down to the Agora, the central part of the village, and on down to the picturesque harbour with its caiques, tavernas, bars and local colour. The village offers an extraordinary range of shops, cafes and tavernas. Away from the harbour area, on the beach are a variety of tavernas and snack bars with direct access to the sea. The village beach, awarded the EU flag for cleanliness, is approximately two kilometres long and offers a degree of privacy towards its end for those who enjoy a skinny dip.

Very nice accomodation

It is a lovely and surprisingly well arranged house with a splendid view over the sea, the village and its habour. Very friendly english speaking landlord. The house is in a big village. Near the house is a main street with butcher, baker, postoffice, restaurants and small grocery stores. We bought fish at the harbor and prepared themselves in the well equipped kitchen . We (mother, father and 13 years old son) enjoyed the stay and visited in a rented car many of the islands attractions and watched at the same time the rich birdlife of Lesvos.
Do not forget to visit the hot springs at Eftalou. To take a donkey trek into the mountains. To visit the small village Vafios on an evening with a beautiful sunset.

Just perfect

We booked Swallow's View without knowing where we were going. It was our first time in Greece and so, it was a complete adventure. Swallow's view is not only as beautiful as in the photos but even better. Located in the upper side of the village, one can really feel the life of the people of Molyvos. The house is perfectly clean (I am obsessed with this!),and twice a week came someone to clean again. The bedroom is so beautiful where you can see the sea, perfect place for a couple to spend some days. The beach is just walking down the village, so clean and charming. Very small, so no many people. Walking back to the house is a little effort, but I would say to myself that that was a good sport after eating in the amazing restaurants of the harbour or in the square near the house. We were really glad we hired a car which gave us the chance to explore other villages of the island, so I would say a car is a must. We will definitely return to this amazing place, where we made friends and where we felt so welcomed. Melinda was very nice and helpful, I bothered her with lots of questions before departure and she was always very nice and charming. I can't say more: just perfect.

First Class Hideaway

We have been at this place in May 2008 and can really recommand it. It is in the middle of the village, about 15 minutes from the harbour. The house, the garden and such a wonderful view are very rare to get. It is a house for a couple. Because of the stony streets, good shoes are necessary and you should not be too lazy to walk up a little hill. As the beach in very small in Molivos a car is quite useful. We would always come back to this place.

Perfect place for romance and relaxation

We stayed in Swallow's view for five days, at the beginning of our honeymoon and it was perfect - quiet, comfortable and romantic.

The village is delightful and long lazy lunches on the harbour side are bliss (a glass or two of wine helps fortify you for the fierce climb back up the winding alleys to the cottage). If you come back late at night, it's worth having a torch for the unlit garden path (or you may hug a tree) - but the stars are fabulous.

A car is a must unless you really don't want to leave the beach and the tavernas, but it is worth getting one to explore the surrounding countryside, churches and restaurants.

The kitchen has all you need, as long as you don't want to cook cordon bleu and there's a lovely bakery just down the nearest alley.

The bed is comfy and the air-con works. There is no door to the toilet or bath so only go with someone you're really friendly with!

The Swallows View - hard to beat

The description of the Swallows View like a fairy tale. But it is true.
To plan excursions I looked for geocaches on Lesbos Island. The geocaches are generally placed by insiders at the most beautiful or must be seen locations in the area.
A car is recommended - there are many car rentals on main street of Molivos.
