Sandpiper is a 4 bedroom luxury lakeside villa with pool situated in the exclusive gated community of Beachwalk Isles in South Fort Myers, Florida. Sandpiper is 4 miles from the beautiful white sandy family beach at Fort Myers and 6 miles from the internationally famous beaches and wildlife reserve of Sanibel Island. There are many golf courses close by and fishing and boating charters are readily available. Sandpiper has high quality tasteful furnishings and decor throughout. It is fully air-conditioned with additional ceiling fans in all bedrooms, main lounge and Lanai. The 28' x 14' screened private pool is electrically heated (at extra charge per week if required). There is cable TV - VCR/DVD in Family Room and additional cable TV's in the Master Bedroom and Queen Bedroom. All bed linen is provided and local telephone calls are free. High speed internet access is available. A locally based professional Management Company is on hand in case of emergencies.

Perfect Fort Myers Family Home

We have rented this home for 2 weeks in February for the last 4 years. We will soon depart for our 5th visit and have already booked our 6th in 2011.

I remember the first year we rented; our initial reaction was that although the website for the home is excellent, we felt the home was even better in person.

The house and amentias are perfect for our young family. We really like that there is a separate bedroom and washroom area in the back of the home. We use it to invite my parents along but it would be perfect for a second couple too.

Here is why we keep going back. The owners care about their home, keep it up and make sure everything is as it should be. They have an excellent property mangement company on-site if there are any issues. Here are some examples. The first year we rented there was to be a BBQ grille from the rental company. We received an email from the owners explaining the rental company had stopped renting BBQ’s, so the owners went out and bought one to fulfill the request. We rented baby furniture a number of times and it was always in the garage as it had been arranged. Another year there was a problem with a pool alarms on the windows. They were fixed that day. Last year the garburator broke and it was repaired the next day. This has really impressed us. We had a nice note from the owners recently about a number of refurbishments they are planning. The fact the owners take pride in their rental home and invest in upkeep makes us confident to keep renting from them time and time again.

The location is very quiet and safe. It is also close to everything you would want to access for a vacation. Fort Myers airport is new and easy to use.

I think this home is an exceptional value for the quality of property and area. The fact we keep going back every year speaks for itself.

Tranquil lake villa close to amenities

We stayed at this beautiful villa for three weeks in June 2009. We have stayed in many Floridian villas before both in the Orlando area, Tarpon Springs area, Bradenton and Fort Myers and this was the best. Spacious, well-maintained clean and comfortable with every facility you may need for a relaxing family holiday. The pool was warm as it was solar heated and the location was both secure, being on a gated estate, and very tranquil, overlooking the lake with all its wildlife. We found the additional bathroom next to the pool really useful as we had a child in our party. The extra living area was also useful. We had a disabled child in our party and the villa was very suitable.Close to all amenities- Super Target over the road from the estate and Publix supermarket, K Mart close by with restaurants and shops to cater to every taste. Close to beaches including Sanibel - plenty of long beautiful walks at sunset or more lively entertainment at Fort Myers Beach and pier.Also suitable for the more adventurous with water sports, golfing, boat hire all available within a few miles.This is an excellent holiday home - you will not be disappointed. Excellent communication with owners.

Excellent floor plan, well-furnished and well-maintained, superb location; minutes away from Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel Island and close to Lee County Stadium for minor league baseball. Nice pool and great patio make for outside living. Sandpiper is a great choice for a family getaway. We will make our sixth consecutive visit in 2010, and, with enthusiasm, recommend it to others.

Happy Stay at Sandpiper

Celia and I stayed with friends at Sandpiper from 12 to 22 May 2009. Having enjoyed a holiday here in 2004, we knew that our accommodation would be idyllic. This spacious, comfortable and well-maintained villa is equipped with all modcons. It is suitable for eight people, all of whom are able to find their own privacy within a relaxing atmosphere. It was particularly pleasant sitting in or by the pool looking out on the lake, watching the marine life.

The villa is ideally situated for shops and restaurants. It also makes an excellent base to visit beautiful, unspoiled local beaches and other places of interest. Among the more memorable trips we made were to Sanibel Island; on a cruise to Useppa (during which we sighted dolphins); to nearby Naples; to Edison & Ford Winter Estates; an evening on a Dinner Theatre train and further south to the Everglades.

There are numerous restaurants in the vacinity and we made use of a different venue each evening. Many of these eating places are located by the sea or the inland waterways. Two for special mention are the Lighthouse Restaurant and Anthony's on the Gulf. The food is also excellent at the Matanza Inn and the Parrot Key Caribbean Grill. Children are well catered for and we recommend an early evening round of Crazy Golf!

We look back on a superb, full and active holiday and would recommend Sandpiper to anyone. We look forward to returning there in the near future.

great family holiday

Our family had a great holiday at the sandpiper last christmas. The house was well laid out spacious and really well maintained and clean. We really enjoyed the pool as it was always nice and warm. We spent a lot of time watching all the wildlife in the lake it was a great spot.
The house was in a handy location for the beach and there was lots of other interesting and fun things to do locally.We were there for 3 weeks with teenagers and had plenty to do. We enjoyed it so much we are going again later this year.
