This self contained flat is perfectly located for both business or pleasure. Central London and trendy Brick Lane are only minutes away. This self contained ground floor flat is easy to access, creates a warm welcome. Open sunny spacious hall way which covers as a dining area. The wood flooring and contemporary furniture all add to the fresh bright feeling. Fully tiled contemporary bathroom with bath/shower. The sitting room has a very comfortable 4 seater sofa and also a 2 seater sofa bed, so can sleep up to four people. Everything you need to enjoy a comfortable stay. Please note, this is a non-smoking apartment.
Simple, clean, nice apartment, we had everything we needed - place to sleep and eat breakfast and late dinner. It is 5 min from the nearest tube station and 15 min walk from the Tower of London, very convenient and close to main London attractions. It has many places to eat nearby, from 2 to 10 min walk, grocery store in 5 min walk. The owner is very nice and professional. It is not a luxury place, but it fit our needs for that price. I would stay there again and I would recommend it to everyone.
A perfect place to stay in London! Close to the underground and bus service, in a lively area with open markets, restaurants and bars, supermarkets and shops.
The flat was perfectly clean and in good condition, the bed and sofa are very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped: it was pleasant to get back home after a day out in the city! Emma provided detailed descriptions and information and arranged everything just right.
I would definitely recommend this property and I hope I'll get the chance to stay there again myself...
I highly recommend this flat! It was perfectly comfortable for three adults, and is, indeed, bright and airy.
The main bed was very comfortable (likewise, my sister enjoyed the sofa bed), and the linens were clean and of an appropriate weight for the weather. The kitchen was well appointed; we made good use of the toaster, tea pot, and stove, and while the fridge is smaller than we are used to, it served our needs perfectly. The bathroom is simple but practical. The tub is rather high, but there are handily placed "grab bars" to assist in and out of the bath. We also had a blissful plethora of towels, which we appreciated.
If you are a light sleeper, however, consider bringing ear plugs. Because it is so close to the action and because of its lovely windows, there was a small amount of noise on the street occasionally, and while I and one of my sisters slept right through it, it did keep the other sister up until she found her ear plugs.
The location was ideal, though, with very easy access to the Underground and the bus. Conveniently, we also walked right by a grocery on our way back to the flat every night. There are also great food and shopping options within easy walking distance--I highly recommend Spitalfields for shopping and Tayyab's for food.
Emma was a joy to work with, quick to respond to emails and incredibly polite. She made the process of arriving at the flat easy, which I appreciated due to some uncertainty regarding our travel times, and she provides a significant amount of information in the flat itself, with everything from instruction booklets for the flat's appliances to take-out menus and maps of the area.
We truly enjoyed our stay at this flat, and hope others find it as wonderful as we did!
Emma's place was so great! Her listing really doesn't do it justice. If you are like our family, we like to submerse ourselves into the culture of the neighborhood. This town was nicknamed Banglatown so there were many different cultures there. Which, of course, brings amazing food! The flat was cozy, immaculate, and had everything you needed. We love to cook and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. The market was super close. So was the tube station. Walking distance to Tower Bridge and Tower of London. The town is in what I call a "gentrifaction" and is really a hip place. Open air markets and great shopping and pubs. I can't say enough about what a wonderful time we had and how great it was to come back to the flat and relax. Truly, if you want to have a home away from home, this is it. We have two boys that slept on the couches comfortably. And our bedroom was great. Storage was great as well. Emma -- thank you so much! You truly have a gem!
My mother, daughter and I recently stayed at this fantastic apartment. This is a hidden gem. The apart was clean, well appointed and more than we could have asked for. Emma was a delight to deal with and made the process very simple. We have stayed in Ireland using Homeaway and this was again a pleasurable experience.
The apartment is approx. a block away from the Aldgate East Tube Station. From this point we easily maneuvered the city quickly. The apartment had everything we required, a nice kitchen, living room, TV and lots of hot water. Everything was in top shape and running order. This area is bustling and has a great ethnic flare. There are great trendy shops and outside markets all over this area. The best curry restaurants that I have ever tasted were within a two minute walk down Brick Lane. The neighbourhood felt very safe and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. There is a Tesco (grocery store) with in three minutes walk, as well as lots of pubs, fastfood (takeaway) and finer dining restaurants.
A must do is the "Jack the Ripper" walking tour, it was 10$ and left from the Whitechapel Gallery. We had a fun night exploring the back streets of the East End. The tour is supposed to last 1 1/2 hours, I think we ended up exploring with our guide for closer to three hours..amazing!
There is nothing bad I could say about this property, Everything was outstanding we will most definitely stay here again the next time we are in London.
Overall London is so much fun, this was my daughters first time in Europe.. we did not rest. Must see/do's are The Tower of London (key ceremony outstanding), Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace -Carriage Mews,London Eye, Any theatre (we saw Spamalot-hilarious), and Shopping everywhere. If you have kids take a trip to Hamleys, it might cost you a few bucks but what a toy store. There are so many hidden gems in London.. far to many to name...best advice, wear comfortable shoes, explore.. get off the beaten path!
Emma Thank You again
The apartment fulfilled all our expectations, highly recommend it!, Comfortable, clean and with all the utensils needed to spend several days on vacation.
It is near Undergraund, is a safe area. It is ideal for couples or small families, we are two adults and two children (7 and 8 years) and stayed comfortably.
The service and attention from its owner was extraordinary. We are sure to rent this apartment again in our next vacation to London.
