Kirby House - Nice Property

We initially attempted to rent Yale Villa, but Bo Tours told us it was not available and made us aware of the property. Upon our arrival, we found that Bo Tours no longer handled Sunset Villa and that in fact, it was available for the week. We felt decieved. Be mindful to ask more specific questions when using the site.
Our travel group of three couples found the property quite accommodating. The location of the property is a bit decieving as all photos are taken from the back on a hill. The property is a block off the main road on an unpaved road in poor condition. There is a car rental operation across the street. There was never any noise or major activity, but the road was lined with vehicles. The property was in walking distance (1/4 mile) from a grocery store and small mall, but a vehicle is required to get to other areas on the island. The walk to the beach is about 1/2 mile away.
There was a welcome package upon arrival that included eggs, bacon, bread, butter, apples and milk which made for a pleasant first day's breakfast.There was also a bottle of wine.
The unit was clean upon arrival, but the water had not been run for a period of time and for the first day had a stench of rotten eggs.
We had to contact the rental office for missing items (wash clothes, beach towels, coffee maker and DVD player) and they were delivered on Monday.
All bedrooms were spacious and the bedding quite comfortable.
The property did have cable television and internet access, but the internet was wired and only one computer could be on line at a time.
The kitchen was spacious, but lacked a microwave (noted in description), mixing bowls, and sharp knives.
The pool and deck area were in good condition, with the exception being the flood light in the pool was inoperable. Mosquitoes and chiggers were overwhelming and the citronella candles needed to be replaced. The cushions on the lounge chairs had been turned because they were filthy.
Cows and dogs roamed freely in adjoining properties. We lost a shoe to a dog, but we assume responsibility as we left the gate opened.
Overall, a nice property, but the surrounding area is a bit more underdeveloped than expected.
