New high-quality air-conditioned townhouse in a secure gated community overlooking Benidorm, but only a few minutes away from Terra Mitica, Terra Natura, Aqua Natura, 2 Jack Nicklaus golf courses, 3 Blue Flag beaches, the La Marina Shopping Centre, Carrefour Hypermarket and the numerous shops, bars and nightclubs of Benidorm. The El Balcon development was completed in July 2007, and the 49 townhouses and 70 apartments benefit from 4 communal swimming pools, ample secure car parking, and CCTV. Our townhouse has an internal area of 111 sq. yards, and by using the large sofa-bed, easily accommodates 6 people. Both bedrooms have two double wardrobes and their own bathroom. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, and patio doors leading to a balcony overlooking the garden. On the ground floor is a large, fully-fitted kitchen, utility room, hall, large lounge and dining room, and a shower room. Full-width patio doors access the ground floor terrace and dining area, as well as the garden.

Our townhouse is part of the exclusive Sierra Cortina development which overlooks Benidorm. It includes Terra Mitica, Terra Natura and Aqua Natura theme parks, two Jack Nicklaus golf courses, and three 5 star hotels. It is a few minutes from 3 Blue Flag beaches, the La Marina Shopping Centre, the Carrefour Hypermarket, numerous shops and restaurants, and the wide range of evening entertainment offered by Benidorm. The El Balcon community includes 49 townhouses and 70 apartments, 4 communal swimming pools, CCTV and secure parking. Our air-conditioned townhouse is fully-furnished and with an internal area of 111 sq. yards, and easily accommodates 6 people by using the large sofabed. It has 2 comfortable bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a ground-floor shower room, large kitchen & a utility room, with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing-machine etc. The large lounge and dining room has a digital TV & DVD, and access to the terrace, external dining area & garden.

Additional information about rental rates

  • An initial non-returnable deposit of £100 is required at the time of booking. The remainder, plus a security deposit of £150 is to be paid no later than one month before the rental commencement date. As soon as our Agent confirms that no damage has occurred during the rental period, the security deposit will be refunded. We have no wish to make any unnecessary charges, and therefore cleaning, electricity, gas and water services, as well as quality bedlinen and towels are included in our prices. Between September and May inclusive, discounts are available for rental periods of 3 weeks or more; please email the owner for further details.
  • It is possible to obtain discounts for admission to 'Terra Mitica' and the other theme parks, and also local golf courses provided that the time and dates for the bookings are notified and paid for at least six weeks before the commencement of the rental period.(Please email the owner for further details).
    Most local golf courses offer discounted green fees in June, July and August, and this could avoid the need to book before your holiday commences.
    Buggies and Ping clubs can be hired from the Villaitana golf course, which offers two courses, a driving range, and a putting green.
    Also less than a mile away is a superb new pitch and putt course, which winds its way through woodland, and has spectacular views over Benidorm..

Notes: There is a small step a the front and the rear entrance to our townhouse, and the comfortable sofa-bed can be used by one or two guests who cannot climb the stairs to the bedrooms on the first floor. Sliding patio doors offer access to the external terrace and dining area, and the garden. Four sunbeds are available; two of these are lightweight, and can be taken to the beach, or the communal swimming pool less than 40 yards from the front door. Car parking area is available 50 yards from our townhouse, but you can park immediately adjacent to the house to load or unload suitcases, wheelchairs and other heavy items. It is possible to rent car seats, cots, high-chairs and other equipment for young children. We ask that smoking is only enjoyed on the terrace. Since the Benidorm area enjoys more than 300 sunny days each year, we enjoy dining on the terrace for breakfast, lunch and dinner, although it can be rather hot in July and August, when the air-conditioning is an essential facility!

A Health & Fitness club is about 700 yards away; it offers beauty and spa treatments, a multi-training gym, an indoor swimming pool, external tennis courts, and a bar and restaurant. It is possible to obtain discounted prices for Terra Mitica, two water parks and two safari/zoo parks, as well as the two Villaitana golf courses and also a new pitch and putt golf course which is only 2 minutes from our house. The nearest Blue Flag beach (Poniente) is only 6 minutes away by car, and offers free parking all day on adjacent roads. It is cleaned every night, and there are numerous sunbeds and parasols for hire. A wide choice of snack bars, shops and restaurants are nearby, and these offer very good value for money. Levante beach and Benidorm Old Town are slightly further away, and the area is more commercialised, with a huge choice of shops, bars and restaurants. However, on street parking is €1.20 for 2 hours, and can be difficult to obtain during July and August.

A new 5 star hotel, the Asia Gardens, opened on 1st July 2008; it offers 2 high-quality restaurants and two bars. Opposite the Asia Gardens, another high quality restaurant opened in June 2008. The Benidorm Palace offers a superb world-class entertainment programme and excellent food. However, the entertainment commences at 10pm, and usually finishes about 12.45am, so be prepared for a late night! It is excellent value for money, and is highly recommended. Comprehensive information about a wide range of events and activities in the Benidorm area can be found on the Benidorm-Spotlight.com website. Since Benidorm is a very active holiday resort every month of the year, and offers something for every visitor, this website can help you plan your holiday to make the most of the local facilities.

We try to provide additional services such as towels and two lightweight sunbeds which can be taken to the swimming pools and/or the beach; also hair-driers, liquid soap, detergent for the dishwasher and washing machine, and teabags, instant coffee and even toilet rolls! This means less weight to carry in your suitcases! In addition, we provide a range of Dvds and books if you wish to have an evening at home. However, there are no additional hidden charges, as the advertised rental charges are 'all-inclusive'. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate pets.

Golf: It is possible to obtain discounted prices for local golf courses, which can be booked and paid for in advance of your holiday. However, during June, July and August, Villaitana (the former Real de Faula golf complex designed by Jack Nicklaus) offers excellent discounts which can be booked at very short notice on each of the two golf courses. Good prices are available for the hire of Ping golf clubs and also golf buggies, and there is a driving range and putting green for pre-match practice. Alternatively, you can play on an excellent pitch and putt course which is situated in attractive woodland overlooking Benidorm, and is only 2 minutes from our townhouse. The shortest hole is about 60 metres, and the longest hole is about 110 metres long. A round costs €25, and it is possible to obtain 20% discount with a Resident's card.

Beautiful house in an ideal location

We have just spent a week at Peter and Janis' house and have had a fabulous time. The house itself is clean, well furnished and highly equipped. having stayed in a villa over the summer in Pego that was a real disappointment I did my research this time and can happily say that everything lived up to my high expectations. From having our shopping waiting for us, the warm welcome from Claire & Dawn and the maps and information from Peter we knew at once we were on to a winner.

The complex itself was very well kept and secure and was within easy driving distance of Terra Mitica, Benidorm and lots of other coastal resorts and villages. We spent a lot of our time in Cala Finestrat just down the road as the beach was excellent for children and was surrounded by shops, bars and restuarants that were very welcoming. I really can't think of anything negative to say about this house-it is beautiful and the views from the upstairs balcony were great. Highly recommended and would go back like a shot!

Firstly, I would highly recommend Peter’s holiday home for any of the following: Anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in great surroundings, anyone looking for the liveliness of Benidorm, young couples, mature couples or families!
A short drive from the main A7 motorway and within 40 mins of Alicante Airport we found our way to El Balcon de Sierra Cortina very easily. The surrounding area is new but tasteful with hotels and golf nearby and the view from Sierra Cortina is outstanding both day and night
On arrival, our greeters went through how everything worked and where to find the bedding and towels etc. The house is secure with close, easy parking and the complex is behind locked gates.
It became immediately clear just how well equipped the home is, and with high quality appliances, every need is catered for.
The decor is warm and inviting. Mediterranean art and furniture provide comfort and a homely feel is achieved within the first few hours.
The living area is spacious, air-conditioned and opens onto a shaded patio and sunlit grass lawn. In keeping with the quality furnishings, a wooden patio table, chairs and wooden sun loungers are provided. Outdoors offers sun, shade, and a great place to eat!
Each bedroom is large and comfortable again with quality furniture and relaxing decor. The bedrooms are air-conditioned, which guaranteed a good night’s sleep. The master bedroom’s balcony is the perfect place to breakfast and take in the view and early morning sun.
The kitchen is very well equipped and I found cooking for a family of five no problem at all.
The El Balcon complex has four large pools with astounding views over Benidorm and out to sea. The whole complex is very well maintained and a joy to be in.
If you wish to take it easy and stay nearby then Local villages are within a couple of minutes drive and local bars, restaurants and even a fitness complex are all within a short walk. If you want something a little more lively, then Benidorm is a 10-minute car journey (or you can even catch the bus!) A short drive will get you to larger supermarkets and a shopping complex with fast food outlets and bars.
The theme parks, water parks and a variety of entertainment plus some of the best beaches in Spain are all within easy reach.
We are counting down to a second holiday at El Balcon de Sierra Cortina and give it a high recommendation, not only for its quality and comfort, but also for its fabulous location.

Wonderfull Holiday home

After staying in this home with our family for a weeks holiday in May 2008. We had a fantastic time and was really impressed with the quality of the furnishings that the owners have provided in their house.
The little things like coffee & tea bags being available on arrival made us feel very much at home.
We will definatly return to explore more of this delightfull area. Kevin & Susan

Im Okt. war die Anlage absolut ruhig und das Wetter 1A! Die Vermieter sind einmalig engagiert, man bekommt absolut detaillierte Vorabinformationen, schnell und jederzeit. Das Vertrauen der Vermieter in die Mieter ist groß (sehr angenehm!) und alles läuft zuverlässig und perfekt!! Besser als mit manch einer professionellen Reiseorganisation. Das Haus/die Anlage ist neu und sehr sauber, Dinge wie Tee, Waschmittel, Zucker, Handtücher, Toilettenpapier, Strandschrime etc. sind vorhanden.Man braucht hier allerdings auf jeden Fall ein Auto, auch zum Strand muss man mit dem Auto fahren. Das Haus liegt oberhalb von Benidorm in einer sehr priviligierten Gegend, dort ist alles neu und schön angelegt, was uns sehr gut gefallen hat.
Wir würden das Haus weiterempfehlen und möchten auch gerne nochmal dort wohnen!
