Block 4, number 3, Parquemar I ,Calle Alamo, La Mata. A real bargain .A wonderful little apartment less than 250 metres from the popular, white sand, blue flag beach of La Mata. Accommodation includes a spacious enclosed, glazed balcony area overlooking the main pool. The complex gives you the choice of 2 swimming pools. One is a large private swimming pool, exclusively for residents & guests (open June to September). A grass verge surrounds the pool for sunbathing & relaxing before or after a swim. An island with palm trees stands in the middle of the pool. The second is only 100 metres away (still within the complex) has a paddling area for children & a bridge. Local facilities include restaurants, bars & supermarket within easy walking distance. An English TV package has been installed for your home entertainment.

Local area: The apartment is only a short distance from the beautiful blue sea. The apartment block has its own secure door entry system, 2 communal pools for residents & guests only.

Within easy walking distance there are numerous bars, pubs, restaurants on the sea front.

Wednesday is market day in the area & there are also markets every day in one of the surrounding areas.

There is a regular convenient bus every 15 minutes in summer season with a bus stop only a few minutes away.

A supermarket is easy walking distance from the apartment with larger supermarkets & a hypermarket less than 10 minutes drive away.

The water park in Torrevieja is a favourite attraction for families & younger visitors. There are several Go-Kart tracks in the area, which are excellent fun & entertainment for all ages.

Costa Blanca: The 'white coast' is famous for its wonderful climate, all year round. Even the Spanish claim that local inhabitants live up to 10 years longer than in the rest of Spain!

Facilities have improved dramatically in the last few years, particularly with the addition of motorway routes directly into the area & the growth of excellent, all-year round, golf clubs.

Golf courses: Within 15 minutes drive there are 3 18 hole championship courses. these are at Campoamor, Villa Martin & Las Ramblas.

Other courses are currently under construction.

It is about 30 minutes' drive south of Alicante international airport.

It can also be reached via the new motorway, from both Alicante & Murcia airport, which is 15 minutes drive south of the town.

    A 25% non refundable deposit is taken at time of booking to reserve the dates requested. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to departure date. We accept mid week bookings.
    A €50 local management charge (non refundable) is payable on arrival for 'meet & greet' handover of keys, & cleaning etc. We shall meet you at the apartment to hand over the keys. Please note that guests are asked to leave at 10am on the day of departure in July & August.
    A GBP100 ( €100 for European guests)refundable breakage deposit is also taken with your final payment and will be returned within two weeks of your departure.
  • Local English speaking agents can also arrange (at extra cost) airport transfers & food packs for those arriving at inconvenient times.
    Cots for toddlers are also available at a small extra charge.
    A 10% discount is available for long term lets (more than 4weeks).

The apartment has a large enclosed & glazed balcony area overlooking the splendid communal pool. (Please note that this large pool is only open during high season - July/August). Several windows in the balcony may be opened or the area may be utilised for sleeping. Small electric convector heaters are supplied for chilly evenings out of the peak season together with winter bedding Smoking allowed in the enclosed balcony area only. Bath towels are supplied but please bring your own beach towels. An additional free standing fan is available in the studio. A ceiling fan is in th lounge.

The accomodation was suitable for our needs and we enjoyed the holiday the bed was uncomfortable but we believe that this has now been replaced with a new sofa bed.

Me and my partner were in this studio for a week, May 2010.
When we arrived we found a little studio flat very cute, clean and well looked after. You have also all the amenities you need, tv, dvd player,etc. Two swimming pools, one open the whole year.

The little Village is very quiet where you can relax during the day. Few bars, restaurants and a couple of pubs. For night live you have to go to Torrevieja few mins driving or a taxi is few euros.
The beach is 10 min walk from the studio and in the way you can find sandy dunes, nice good sandy long beach.

Overall, I loved my time in la Mata considering what I've paid for my week. I'll be back.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

La Mata is a great location with a beautiful beach. The pool was clean and a relaxed, friendly place to be and there was a little shop very close by with everything we needed. Restaurant prices are very reasonable with some great food on offer and many situated overlooking the beach. If you're looking for a more lively night out you only have to take a cheap short bus ride into Torreveija.
Everything was described accurately and apartment clean, though the new sofabed wasn't the comfiest place to sleep.
Perhaps if you were looking for a romantic holiday then maybe spend a bit more on accomodation, but would recommend to anyone who wants a quick cheap getaway in a perfect location. The price really does open it up to anyone, particularly in a time of economic difficulty.

beware of an additional 50 euro charge for cleaning. A solarium is advertised that, on arrival, we were advised was only for drying laundry and was recommended we did not use. This appartment was a little grubby, kitchen poorly equipped, could have used a coat of paint and was EXTREMELY hot. Only three windows that open but must be locked at night leaving a ceiling fan and a broken fan as the only cooling facilities.
There is no outdoor space and you have to go out the front door on the street to get round to pool.
Owner's Response: This budget prices studio apartment is EXACTLY what it says in the advert. All charges are mentioned & all other details are accurate (see other reviews). Extremely popular, as evidenced by being fully booked from May through to the end of September. Many of our guests come back year after year. Spain is hot in the summertime (average 30 C) so don't come if you don't like the heat. The large communal pool is magnificent & well worth the 2 minute walk to get to it. The other, smaller pool is open all year round.

The location was excellent. But I felt the studio was too claustraphobic with the enclosed balcony area, which was a shame. Also the pool area is only open from 11am till 2pm then again from 5pm til 9pm. Would not really recommend and for a little extra you can rent somewhere with bedrooms.
Owner's Response: This is the largest studio apartment in the Costa Blanca, advertised on h-r and is a whopping 55 sq m., bigger than many 2 bed apartments. Balconies are traditionally glassed in on ground floor apartments for the guests's extra security. The gigantic communal pool closes for siseta time but there is another pool available only a short walk away on the other side of the complex and is open throughout the day/year. Come and try it for a perfect get-away-from-it-all holiday. See other review.
