Where Henry VIII once enjoyed galloping through his private hunting ground now stands the exceptionally green expanse of Regent’s Park. For it has evolved from an isolated farmland far from any place of note into an elegant and elaborate symbol of the talent of modern landscape design. But that’s not all this location has to offer; with unrivalled transport links via Baker Street station (a 5 minute walk away) and some of London’s top restaurants and tourist attractions similarly on your doorstep, we challenge you to find a better base for any London adventure.
Living and Eating Spaces
Draw yourself away from the enticing Regent’s Park to find a modern studio apartment with warm soft shades, epitomising contemporary city living with an unrivalled accommodation experience. The division between the bedroom and the living area is stylishly emphasised by a modern shelving unit; however, this cleverly does nothing to detract from the feeling of space. Comfort and cosiness are two definite features of the lounge area. There’s a sofa to flop on after a run around the park and a stylish rug in front of a large television. Testament to the care in design the space is maximised to easily fit a desk and a round table to seat 4. Indeed we think the home design would please any Feng Shui master. There is an adjoining fully equipped kitchen and a spacious hallway with additional storage space.
Beds and Baths
Enjoy the wooden flooring as you make your way over to the comfortable double bed with a smart wooden trunk at one end. There is also a bedside table with a lamp. There is also the option to separate the bedroom by a screen that can easily be pulled across.
Expect an immaculate bathroom with a stand up shower unit, a basin (with quite a unique design) and a toilet.
Access and Suitability
This home is on the lower ground floor and access is via one flight of stairs going down from the street. We would recommend this apartment most for couples.
Find yourself excellently located in a quiet area right by Regent’s park and a 5 minute walk from Baker Street Station. There are plenty of local convenience stores close by but there are also ATMs and a Tesco in Baker street station. With so many wonderful restaurants and pubs to try close by it is impossible to name all of them, but for a traditional English pub try the Volunteer just a few hundred meters up the road.
The term ‘spoilt for choice’ certainly springs to mind when it comes to activities and excursions. The neighbouring park could fill a few weeks of exploration itself. Today it is known as the ‘jewel in the crown’ and I’m sure making your way through its 166 magnificent hectares it won’t take long to see why. Its diverse landscape allows you to explore through wildflower grassland, secluded woodland, wide-open playing fields and reed beds. Its no wonder over 100 species of wild bird are happy to call this place home. London Zoo is located in the park, which incidentally was the setting for the Harry Potter scene where the young wizard first realises he can talk to snakes! Film lovers may also remember the scene from David Lean’s classic ��Brief Encounter�� where Trevor Howard falls off the end of the boat in Regent’s park boating lake. You will also find a wonderful open-air theatre in Queen Mary’s Garden that is open from May through September. With cafes, sports facilities, a boating lake and so much more we thoroughly recommend a visit to this unique London space.
A walk through Regent’s Park will bring you to the leafy Primrose Hill that rises an impressive 256 feet above sea level. That may not sound too high, but it is a unique feature for central London and offers an unparalleled view of the surrounding cityscape. A host of A-list poets, musicians and actors have deemed this picturesque neighbourhood eligible to call home including Daniel Craig, Alan Rickman and Tim Burton.
If it is culture or museums you are after you are located next to the Sherlock Holmes Museum and within striking distance of the well know Madame Tussauds. The Wallace collection is also a short stroll down Baker Street. Baker Street and Marylebone have a trendy cosmopolitan feel to them, testament to this their streets are lined with tempting cafes, stylish bistros and world class restaurants.
The intrepid walker may wish to walk all the way to Soho, Covent Garden and the West End from here, but there are also easy transport links to there and the rest of the city from Baker Street.

The basement apartment is located across from beautiful Regents Park, great for walking. There are some touristy sites a block away, but the overall neighborhood is residential and appealing. Easy access to all of London via the tube (Baker Street Station). The agent was waiting for us at our appointed arrival time and walked us through use of all gadgets. He also gave us useful tips for getting around. The company provided a comprehensive manual with local restaurant recommendations, taxis, instructions for internet, appliances, etc. Clean, comfortable and well-equipped. We felt very settled and at home.
