It is one of the loveliest towns on, not only the Dalmatian Coast, but the whole of Adriatic Sea, and boasts a seductive mixture of narrow cobbled streets, brimming with shops, restaurants and museums, together with the pristine 'Riva', a seafront promenade overlooking Ciovo island, and is a stop-off point for the most luxurious of yachts and sailing ships. A 10-minute walk in the other direction from the apartment takes you to the beach at Okrug Gornji. The bustling city of Split, from where numerous ferries can be taken to the many Dalmatian islands, is 40 minutes away by car or bus. Krka National Park, with its gorgeous waterfalls, the beach resort of Makarska and the nearby Cetina river, offering white-water rafting, are also easily accessible.
