Situated on the south coast of the island, Pessada is a beautiful traditional unspoiled peaceful kefallonian village ,with panoramic views of the Ionian sea. There are a number of blue flag beaches within easy reach, which are good for sunbathing ,and the clear turquoise water is ideal for snorkeling. There is a small ferry port and fishing harbour, with regular connections to the island of Zante. Local wineries are open to the public and the impressive Saint Georges Castle is a 10 min drive away, along with the famous church of Evangelistria. There is a good selection of restaurants and tavernas, with a warm and friendly Greek Island hospitality. VILLA LOCATION: The airport and capital of Argostoli is only a 15 minute drive away. where there is plenty of choice for shopping and dining.The villa is 10 minutes walk to a little secluded sandy beach and situated amongst olive and citrus groves ,.and within easy reach of restaurants,tavernas,supermarkets.

We stayed at Villa Kallisto between 11th - 18th October 2009. The Villa was fantastic and our week was perfect!!!
Villa Kallisto has everything to offer and was excellently equipped and well-maintained; making our stay very comfortable.
The pool area is very peaceful and well laid out and is surrounded by well tended, pretty gardens to the front and rear. The owners provided plenty of information from car hire, to recommending places of interest and restaurants. We were blown away by the location and views over the island; and it was beautiful sitting out at night on the balcony with a glass of wine or two overlooking the pool and Zante.
This is a perfect place to relax, unwind and soak up the sun, and we would thoroughly recommend this amazing Villa. We only wish we could have stayed 2 weeks!!

Luxurious peaceful villa

Had two week stay in Villa Kallisto and it was pure luxury. Extremely well equipped with everything we needed for adults and children alike, DVDs, games plasma TV screens, plastic crockery (a must for young children!!). So comfortable and quiet. Perfect for two families as you each occupy a totally separate floor which enables you to enjoy a bit of peace time or privacy.

Set in a very rural location so you could certainly not be without a car but local amenities very easy to get to, supermarkets and meat markets 10 minute drive and a further 10 minutes into Argostoli. Nearby Spartia beach, 10 mins away, was gorgeous late afternoon as it is shaded and perfect for young children, a bar above it for drinks/food afterwards too. The nearby winery in Pessada village was a must for souvlaki dinner and local wine, a really nice evening and definitely worth a visit.

The whole island is stunning, we visited it all Fiskardo, Assos, Poros, Sami, Skala all worth a visit.

A beautiful villa in tranquil Pessada....

We have just returned from a relaxing two week stay at Villa Kallisto . My sister, husband and 8 year old niece stayed in the top villa and myself, my husband and 12 year old daughter stayed in the bottom villa. The owners description of the villa lends itself well to this beautiful villa .. it's spacious, clean and each villa is self contained, and well equipped. The pool was a suitable size which is set in the pretty grounds of the villa and is cleaned on a regular basis.

A car is a must during your stay here though in order to reach the local shops, restaurants and prettier beaches of Kafelonia and is a definite for taking in the spectacular sights of the island!!!. We ate out quite alot but also enjoyed catering for ourselves at the villa .. having barbecues around the pool or for a change of scene we would dine upstairs on the balcony and take in the breathtaking views across to Zante!!! (The meat market/shop is excellent and is approx 10-15 mins away).

We enjoyed visiting the caves and snorkelling in the clear blue seas but the highlight for my daughter was seeing a loggerhead turtle feeding from the fisherman's catch in Argostoli.

We would definitely recommend Villa Kallisto for a relaxing family holiday and the owners are friendly and helpful.

Great villa for holiday!

We are back home from a very succesful and lovely holiday! Kefalonia was very interesting island with it's many beautiful small cities and villages. The Pessada Village was just as little and idyllic we had imagined. At this time of summer (27.5.-10.6.2009) there were no tavernas open, only a small shop. We had rented two cars for the whole two weeks, so it was easy to drive to some nearby villages or Argostoli to have the dinner.

The Villa Kallisto was very nice, just as in pictures. It was easy to spend the holiday there with small children, since the kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of room in apartment. The views from the terraces were spectacular! The pool is great and big enough to enjoy swimming.

We would recommend this villa for everyone looking for peaceful place to spend the holiday. There are only few tourists in Pessada.

At this time of year Pessada-beach was like a private beach, very lovely. The beach is difficult to reach: there are steps and a narrow path leading down to the beach. But the beach is worth the effort! However not suitable for disabled or very small children.
