Stylish apartment in a great location

Having woken early in London to catch the Eurostar to Paris with two small children and three large suitcases, queued at the Gard du Nord for Metro tickets, worked out the Paris Metro system and made our way, with all our bags, to Rue Montmartre, I could not have been more overwhelmed with joy when we found this apartment, rang the bell and found Fred inside waiting to welcome us. Fred was friendly and helpful, the apartment is very funky, the bedroom is very quiet at night (no small feat given the volume of Paris traffic) and the view is very pleasant. Thankfully, it is not a touristy area and we felt like locals. The only downside is we found the kitchen too small to really cook (although we did use it to prepare breakfast and sandwiches) but with so many wonderful food shops, cafes and restaurants all around there is no need really to prepare food yourself (unless of course you are on a budget). A very clean, very central apartment and wonderful owners who are there if you need them but otherwise leave you alone. While you are here, wander down the rue Montorgueil for all the amazing food and drink you could wish for.
