Beautiful , NEWLY REFURBISHED 3 bedroom , 2 bathroom, Ramparts Town House

The house is a family second home ,we have been visiting Antibes for 25 years and love the character and charm of the old town and it's ancient streets.The house has been refurbished to a high standard during the winter of 2012/13 .The house is a unique character property on the ramparts which is a listed ancient monument providing luxury accommodation with good natural light over 3 floors with sea views from three bedrooms .Each of the 3 air conditioned bedrooms are beautifully furnished with high quality mattresses and Egyption cotton bedding with high ceilings with exposed beams.The master suite at second floor is spacious and has its own seating area, separate TV/Sky with a child bed if required.The master suite has a new luxury en suite shower room with separate toilet.While the other 2 bedrooms at first floor are served by a new high quality bathroom with bath and shower.The property is accessed via a pretty private pathway rising above the cobbled pedestrianised street below, there are no pedestrians passing the house meaning the location is quiet and private.The house benefits from a completely refurbished open plan kitchen, dining and living area.The kitchen is new and well equiped with high quality range oven ,dishwasher ,fridge freezer, wine fridge and washer dryer which happily caters for the house guests.Guests have the option of eating at a breakfast bar or a dining table and there is a nice ground floor patio with table and chairs for outside dining.The house is fully air conditioned throughout with new high quality units.

The house is very conveniently located only a minutes walk from the Old Town's Provencal Market , restaurants and shops.The house is perfectly located for a family beach holiday.

SPORTS; Antibes is renowned for it's sailing and yachting in Port Vauban and there are locations on the nearby Antibes beaches for diving and the hire of windsurfers, Kayaks and Catamarans.Water ski-ing and jet ski hire is also available at the nearby Garoup beach.

Golf is available inland on a number of courses including the Mougins Golf and Country Club.Tennis is also available at a number of nearby clubs.

Ski-ing is a 1.5 hour car journey into the Alps Maritime at Auron and Isola.

EVENTS; The annual Cannes Film Festival and Monaco Grand Prix are both in May within 2 weeks of each other and Antibes is a great central point to enjoy these events.The famous Jazz a Juan is held in July in Juan les Pins and is the biggest Jazz festival outside of the US.Antibes enjoys it's annual sailing festival in June known as Voiles D'Antibes and becomes the home to some of the worlds most spectacular sailing yachts and clippers.In April Antibes houses the annual Antiques Festival which is one of the biggest in France and attracts enthusiasts from all over Europe.

LOCATION; The House is 20 minutes drive or taxi from Nice airport.The train station in Antibes is 10 minute walk and is a mainline SNCF station to Paris and other major cities but also gives regular access to nearby major centre's of Cannes, Nice and Monaco.Antibes has a large bus station 5 minutes walk away with cheep transport to all major centre's including Nice airport.

There is a large choice of beaches with Plage de Gravette and Plage Salis a 5 and 10 minute walk away.There are more exclusive private beaches with sun chairs available at Garoup beach on Cap D'Antibes and the Cap D'Antibes Beach Club in Juan Les Pins.

Fabulous, well appointed town house in old Antibes

We rented the town house in old Antibes for 2 weeks in the middle of September 2014. We were a party of six adults. We all found the house to be very well appointed. Very clean when we arrived. The photographs are very true and accurate. The property manager, Arnaud, is right around the corner at the estate agents. He is very helpful and speaks great English - for example, he organised a taxi for us to travel back to Nice airport. The location of the house in old Antibes is perfect - it is down a quiet street so there is very little noise, and it is right around the corner from the Provencal market, Le Zinc wine bar / restaurant, and L'Enoteca, the other wine bar we liked. My only observation, and I am getting "picky" now, was that the house could do with three sets of keys, instead of two, when there are three couples in residence.

Beautiful Home in a good location

This house has charme, it is not just an investment for rental, but moreso a true second home of the owners. Interior design, particularly lighting, bedrooms and bathrooms are 5*Star. The owner is absolutely right about the quality of the beds, no exaggeration! The only reason why we did not give 5*Stars all around is the fact that we love cooking ourselves. Kitchen, fridge and the AGA type stove are great, but we were missing some utensils, that you need if you really want to go for it. The direct neighbours are lovely people, but for them to enter or leave their house they have to cross the patio/terrace, hence why we sometimes felt a bit in their way, because we used the patio a lot for dining. We suspect that the absence of a barbecue is maybe for that same reason.
BUT, our afinity for cooking is probably not everyone`s choice when on holidays, so if one prefers the close by restaurants, no problem whatsoever.
Favourites here: Civette in the market, Brulot (just behind), Albert 1er for seafood, also MerSea in the market for shellfish.

By the way, perfect communication and handling by both, owner and local rep.

Beautiful villa in a perfect location!

We absolutely loved this villa! It's super clean, very beautiful with a lot of modern touches, and it has everything you need for your stay. It's located in a perfect location of old Antibes. We enjoyed daily strolls along the ramparts and loved coming back and having a glass of wine on the outdoor terrace. The Marche and wine shop was only steps from the villa too. We would do all of our daily shopping in the Marche...which has everything you need and more (meat, cheese, eggs, tons of veggies and fruit vendors, and there is even had a macaroon vendor, which our kids really enjoyed!). We are a family of 5 with three children under 12 we felt very safe to walk around at night. The old town gets quite lively at night and restaurants start getting busy around 9:30pm. All of the restaurants located in the Marche are wonderful and we ate at almost all the restaurants along the waterfront too. We noticed that the earlier you go, the better the service. Two beaches are close to the villa and we enjoyed them a lot; however, if you want to take the Le Petit Train into Juan le Pins, you can enjoy the wonderful super sandy beaches there. The little train goes from Antibes to Juan le pins daily. It's easy to take - one hop on/off spot with several times to catch the train throughout the day. You do have to pay for a spot at the private beaches in Juan le Pins but it's reasonable at $15euros/chair for the entire day (located within the restaurants along the waterfront). We also took a ferry one day from Juan Le Pins over to St. Marguerite Island to visit the old Fort which was a state prison back in the 17th century (and home to the man in the iron mask). The prison is a must see. The kids were amazed at the history. We also did a half day tour to Monaco (through Get Your Guide). We were picked up just outside the villa and we drove up the coast through Nice with a stop in the old medieval town of Eze, which is a must see! The owners of this villa were fabulous! Both Dan and Lis were very responsive and easy to work with. Being that we were travelling with children we had SO many questions before our arrival and they answered everything and more! They truly helped us feel at ease. Arrival and departure were seamless and we never had any issues while in Antibes. We would love to come back to this beautiful villa in this lovely part of France. It was a trip of a lifetime with so many memories made. We will never forget it. Thank you Dan and Lis!

This home is in an amazing location with views of the sea from the bedrooms and patio. The pictures of the house do not do it justice...wonderfully refurbished and tastefully decorated. Right around the corner from the outdoor market and great shops and restaurants. We LOVED this place and hope to stay there again soon.

Fantastic

Having been to antibes many times, this house is the best we have stayed in, its been beautifully restored of late, and the position is fantastic with its very close proximity to the old remparts and cap d`antibes, we enjoyed it so much we reserved it for the following year the day after we arrived home!!! Dan and all the staff involved were very helpfull to make our arrival and departure seamless, so thank you all very much and see you again in 2014!!!

We are in the prefect location on the Cote D'Azur only a 20 minute drive to Nice airport and a short trip to Cannes and it's shopping along the Croisette and renowned Film Festival.The House occupies a fantastic location directly on the ancient ramparts of the Old town of Antibes with views across the sea to the Cap D'Antibes.The House is in a unique south facing position on the ramparts being set back on a quiet , pedestrianised street with it's elevated and prominent position giving it the benefit of excellent sunlight to the terrace.The house is less than a minutes walk from the bustling Antibes provencal market and night market which opens daily and a wide choice of restaurants and cafe's are in very close vicinity.The world famous Picasso museum housed in the Chateau Grimaldi is just one street away by foot and Place National is home to the Musee Peynet.Antibes is also famous for it's Port Vauban the true centre for mediterranean yachting which makes this an all year round destination.The port is a 3 minute walk from the house.Close to the port is the imposing mass of the 16th Century Forte Carre visitor attraction where Napoleon was imprisoned.The house is 300 metres to Antibes sandy beaches.Alternatively there are a number of pretty 'perched' villages a short car ride inland such as St Paul de Vence and Mougins with their numerous restaurants and galleries.Monaco and the Italian border is a short train ride from Antibes station and is therefore very accessible for the Formula 1 Grand Prix.In winter both Alps Maritime ski resorts of Isola and Auron are approximately 1.5 hours drive from Antibes making ski-ing accessible.
