Certamente iremos voltar.
I live in the village of Ramila with my husband, two dogs and three cats. We have lived in Portugal for seven years and have loved every minute. The people are so lovely and the countryside is amazing. We lived in Spain for three years before coming to Portugal so this area is fantastic for us, we have the best of both worlds as Spain is only ten minutes away. My passion is cooking, and I have learned a lot about Spanish and Portuguese cooking from friends and neighbours. I also love painting and drawing, books, films and music.
I want my guests to experience a holiday where they have peace and tranquility and so a low profile is what I aim for, although I am always available for questions or advice.
My life motto would be go with the flow.
Have a great holiday...
We loved the property as soon as we arrived, although there was a lot of work to be done we could see the potential. The grounds are fantastic, half being cork trees and the amazing rock formations that are found all over this area, and half is used for gardens, horta and fruit trees. Ramila is a small peaceful village with lovely neighbours.
One of the photos on the estate agents website was a cork tree which overhangs the pathway to the back of the property. It was so pretty. The cork tree is still there and when you arrive you will walk underneath this tree to get to the barn. Also the rock formations are amazing with cork trees dotted in between. We also love the cobbled pathway between the house and the outbuildings, the outbuildings being the barn, and room housing a working bread oven. The stream which runs along the side of the property and the sound of the goat bells tinkling in the next field. All these things attracted us to this wonderful place.
