Why Claudio Kortmann chose Elviria area

We have been visiting Elviria for the past 20 years and know the area very well. We decided that it was time to buy our own permanent piece of Andalucia and to spend more time there. The property is situated in a quiet, non-touristy location, with a green outlook due to the number of Pine and Cork Trees all around the area. To the rear and at the side of the house it is open countryside and the house is not overlooked by any other property. From the sun terraces there are lovely views down to the sea and on a clear day you can clearly see the coastline of Morocco.

What makes this house unique

The peace and tranquillity of the area, the lovely sandy beach and nearby sea, the many local facilities, and also the location to easily visit many other interesting places in the region. The other main benefit is that the local airport of Malaga is easily reached from most European and Scandinavian airport within a few hours.

Very nice house, excellent facilities

We stayed for two weeks in this house and had a great time. The house itself in perfect, lots of rooms and beds, enough to accomodate large families (we were 13 people). Nice decoration, AC in all the rooms. The lower level is perfect for its cool temperatures, Billard and table football provide family fun. The location is very nice, five minute walk to the nearest shopping center and restaurants (great tapas at the Barracon de los Tapas), 10 minute walk to the beach. Golfing is great, (3 minutes by car). The communal pool is very clean and inviting, sunny all through the day. The only thing missing is a little shade nest to the pool in Marbella the sun shines 365 days a year... Highly recommended...

We had a fantastic stay in Marbella. The house perfect for our family and the owner was helpful and easy to talk to. Very clean and spacious house - situated in a wonderful area near to the beach. We would love to come again for our next holdiay. We would recommend this house for all who want to visit southern Spain.

A great villa

Myself and 9 friends have just returned from a weeks stay at this great villa. The villa is a really good size and the 10 of us still managed to have our own space if we needed it. We enjoyed having different places to spend our days sunbathing - up on the roof terrace, in the garden or by the pool (which felt like a private pool for 95% of the time that we were there). The basement was also really good for us all to spend time in later in the evening or during the days when we needed to cool down. We enjoyed lunch at the villa most days, and the table could comfortably fit all 10 of us at once. The kitchen had everything we needed, and being able to enjoy BBQ's was really nice.

The location was also perfect for what we needed. Some nights we got taxis in to Marbella and Peurto Banus (taxi rank only 5 minutes walk away) and then other nights we stayed local and ate and drank near the villa. Before we came out to Elviria, we thought about getting a car but we definitely didn't need one in the end.

The owner met us at the villa and took the time to explain everything about the house and the area to us, and happily answered any questions that we had. He also came to see us before we leaving, making sure that we had enjoyed our stay.

The whole party would happily go back to Elviria again.

Bliss!

Our family have recently ( reluctantly !) returned having spent a month in this lovly spotless and well maintained home., We are a couple with young adult children who also had extended family including young children to stay during our holiday. We particularly enjoyed the garden, especially picking peaches for breakfast, the terrace off the master bedroom was a delight for quiet sunbathing, in reality the roof terrace is too hot in August but must be great at other times, the kitchen was very well equipped for a rental property if a little squashed for two keen cooks!, the bedrooms are easy to keep cool and lots of crisp linen and towels are provided. We enjoyed the pool and seemed to be the only people using it!, the development is very secure with a feeling of community.One of the bedrooms in the basement does have wardrobe facilities! whilst the stairs is marble and semi spiral we just had a 'bare feet only rule' to prevent slips and rented a stair gate while we had a toddler stay and had no problems. We all enjoyed the new 'adventure forest park' at the bottom of the hill, we already know and love the Elviria area and have been holidaying there for years, this is the nicest house we have stayed in and we hope to be back!

My family had a wonderful summer holidays in Elviria. The owner was expecting us personally and provided all the information needed. The house has four rooms, three of them with air conditioned. The fourth one is on the basement and is very fresh. The property was in good conditions, clean and very well equipped. All the equipment worked fine. The garden is beautifull and the pool fantastic (water temperature around 30ºC).
Just five minutes walk there are some restaurants and bars. Marbella and Puerto Banus are at 10 and 15 minutes by car.
The beach is just 1-2 minutes by car and 10-15 minutes walk. If you go early (before 11h) you´ll have no problem parking near the beach.
I strongly recommend this house for a summer holiday for families with children with a car.

Visit the old town of Marbella & enjoy a meal or drink in Orange Square only 10 minutes drive away from the house in Elviria.

Visit Granada to see the Alhambra Palace which is a famous fortress & monument of arabic architecture.

Visit Sevilla, Ronda, Cordoba, Puerto Bánus, Jerez or Cádiz to name a few.

Shopping excursions to Gibraltar or City of Málaga.

Visit Tarifa known as the windiest place in Spain for lots of activities including wind & sea-surfing & lots of different water sports to enjoy. Visit typical Andalucian villages of Mijas Pueblo or Nerja both are within easy driving distance.

There are many golf courses very close by for example: Greenlife Golf set in the Elviria Hills, Santa Maria & Santa Clara golf courses & the famous Marbella Golf & Country Club.

Elviria beach is about 15-20 minutes walk or 2 minutes by car.

Nikki Beach is next to Elviria beach about 1.5 kms from the house.

Excursion to Tangiers Morocco by ferry from Algerciras or Tarrifa (crossing time is 35 minutes).

Golf: The house is situated only a few metres from the famous Santa Maria golf course and also Greenlife Golf. Within a close radius of the house there are around 10 other golf courses for you to choose from!

Ski: The Sierra Navada mountains, near Granada, is only 2 hours drive away from the house. It is possible to be on the beach in the morning & be skiing the slopes in the afternoon during some months of the year!

The old town of Marbella is absolutely charming. The streets are narrow and cobbled, with chic boutiques and local cafés side by side. At the heart of the Old Town known as 'El Casco Antiguo' lies the Orange Square, which is also where the tourist office is ready to give you maps and information. Cross the road from the Alameda Park fountain and walk through the Orange Square past the old castle wall and into the impressive Cathedral. The Old Town is perfect for shopping and relaxing in the many cafés, restaurants and bars. This was the only shopping centre in Marbella 10 years ago before El Corte Inglés and the ultra modern La Cañada shopping centre arrived. You will find real hand made clothing and jewellery in the boutiques around the Old Town.

We prefer two week rentals only. We will consider other changeover days other than Saturdays.

The 25% deposit is not refunded on cancellation by renter if cancelled within 6 weeks of the date of commencement of your holiday.
Payment terms are 25% on reservation, followed by the balance and 300€ Security Deposit 4 weeks before rental commencement. Payment is in Euros only by direct BACS transfer into our bank account. The security deposit is refunded within 14 days after a satisfactory inspection of the property. Any breakages or damage must be reported before your departure to avoid any deductions from deposit

THE BASEMENT HAS TWO BEDROOMS AND A BATHROOM HOWEVER THEY ARE NOT INCLUDED BECAUSE THEY ARE SITUATED UNDERGROUND AND CAN BE HUMID ESPECIALLY IN PEAK SUMMER MONTHS WHEN OUTSIDE TEMPERATURES ARE HOT AND SOME GUESTS HAVE COMMENTED THAT THEY FIND THE BASEMENT HAS AN UNDERGROUND FEEL & SMELL.
