The apartment is situated on the 1st (US 2nd) floor in a secure purpose built development consisting of 3 properties in a quiet cul-de-sac. The apartment has been fully refurbished in 2012 with brand new bathroom, kitchen carpeting and furniture throughout, it has full gas central heating, high speed unlimited internet access, free UK phone calls and consists of:

Living room. Large sofa which comfortably seats 3 to 4 people and easily converts to a full sized double bed. Flat screen TV with DVD player and music system with Ipod dock / MP3 lead. 2 additional armchairs and dining table seating 6 people. Large French windows looks over the gardens of Eton Court.

Bedroom 1. King sized bed with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space.

Bedroom 2. 2 full sized single beds with wardrobe.

Kitchen. Modern units and granite surfaces with plenty of workspace. Full electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher, washing machine/dryer.

Bathroom. Luxurious modern bathroom.

Olympic Venues:

Trains run every few minutes from Highbury and Islington station to Stratford, for the Olympic stadium just 15 minutes away. This makes the location perfect for enjoying both the Olympics and central London from the security and comfort of one of London's most elegant and safer areas.

Highbury Barn:

Just steps from the front door, this is one of London’s quaintest “villages” the small parade of shops include Da Mario, a traditional Italian delicatessen, La Fromagerie, Godfrey’s English butchers and Mrs Lovell’s Greengrocers. The Beach Hut fish and chip shop brings a delicious taste of the seaside to central London in a wonderfully stylish setting. There is also a pharmacy/chemist, several cafés, a post office with ATM, supermarket and a traditional British pub serving real ales and good food. V comfortable stay, charming convenient location

We stayed 6 nights and found the apartment to be cosy, comfortable, and quiet. Warren met us on arrival and was very helpful. The Highbury area is delightful and we found the adjacent area of Islington to also be bursting with excellent restaurants shops and cafes. It took us no time to master the nearby underground train and bus systems with our one week pass (fantastic value at around 30 pounds). I was envious of the very fast internet available at no charge. There's no doubt we would stay here again on a return visit to the wonderful city of London; it's a perfect base for exploring.

Our stay at Fichi in the city, was a wonderful experience ! We three ladies enjoyed all of the marvelous conveniences, and just a short bus ride, on no 19, to Picadilly Circus. A short walk to all that Highbury has to offer, would absolutely return ! Ian, responded very quickly to my e mails... Thanks Ian!

Modern apartment with all the mod cons we needed for our stay in London. Washer/dryer and dish washer were great to have and gave us more time to enjoy our holiday. Quality bathroom towels and bed linen. Wifi was fast. Overall, a really homely and comfortable apartment.

Quiet street and close to the local high street with good strip of shops, nice pubs etc. only a couple of minutes away. Train station is about 10 mins away and gives fast access to the city, it was excellent. We also caught busses and the overland train too.

Highly recommend Fichi in the City.

Exactly what we were looking for

My wife and I along with our two young children (5 & 3 year old) stayed in this apartment for 4 nights in late August 2013. The apartment is roughly a 10 - 15 minute walk from Highbury and Islington Tube Station on the Victoria Line (one stop from Kings Cross).

The apartment is on the first floor and consists of a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. All rooms are well appointed. The free wireless internet is a great bonus. We have stayed in many holiday rental apartments and this apartment was ideal for our family, the beds were very comfortable and the apartment was child friendly (providing you keep the French door in the sitting room locked).

The surrounding area is very nice with plenty of restaurants to explore (although with two small children we couldn't do them justice). For children there is a fantastic park and play area complete with sand pits, climbing frames, giant slides etc. in Highbury Fields just before you reach the tube station. Our kids loved it!

We would definately book again.

A perfect nest

My husband and two teenager daughters stayed in this perfect apartment for one week in August. Our stay could have not been any better. The apartment is conveniently located, equal distance(10 minute walk), from 2 tube stations, one on the Victoria and one on the PIccadilly line. Getting there from Heathrow was super easy and it took around 50 minutes. Getting to central London offers its choice of tube or buses. If not in a rush I highly recommend taking the bus from Hislington to central London. The bus goes through so many interesting parts of London and it stops minutes away from the apartment. The neighborhood is very cute, safe, and clean. It offers a variety of pubs, restaurants, parks, and stores. We dined in twice and had ethnic food all other nights. The apartment itself does not look like a rental AT ALL. It offers all amenities of a personal home, with a nice taste in furniture and decorations. It felt like staying at a good friend's home. Ian was very accommodating to our needs and kept communication open throughout the many months leading up to our stay, answering promptly and clearly to the many questions I had. We HIGHLY recommend this apartment to anyone, single or family, who wants to visit London during the day but wants to also enjoy a true British neighborhood at night.
