LUXURY AND LARGE APARTMENT WITH CANAL VIEW

The property is exactly the way it’s depicted on the site. The experience is even better! Its spacious, bright and tastefully done up! We were 7 of us, 4 adults and 3 children

Gaiya, from the Red House Company that manages this property was very professional and efficient. Despite a very short notice she was at the water bus stop to walk us to the flat and introduced us to all the facilities apart from patiently taking us through the numerous touristy questions we had to ask!

The decor was charming with lots of windows for light and fresh air… the living room window overlooking a canal too! But the best part was the location! It was just a few steps away from the main water bus stops of San Marco and a 10 minute walk from the heart of the town of San Marco Square/Doge's Palace and Bridge of Sighs....numerous eateries dotting the way. If you want a super market, it is within 10 minutes walking distance of the apartment through a few charming Venice alleyways where you can get a glimpse of locals taking their evening strolls, gathering around watering holes and kids playing soccer!

Since there is efficient air conditioning available all through the flat the mild summer temperature wasn't a problem for us. The wi-fi is fast and trust me it helps to have a good internet speed during your holidays

The only negative is perhaps that, being an old building, the floor has a minor shake while walking...but that I guess you will find everywhere in Venice....including museums, palaces et al....a part of the challenge, I guess, of being built on sandy soil

So over all a wonderful place...full marks! If you are looking for mid-market prices and get the booking, go for this one ...it’s certainly worth it for families with friends and teenaged kids. For older people and people averse to climbing stairs it might be a slight challenge as it involves around 40 steps climb to the second floor
