About Xavier MARQUEZE & Elke COLLART
Our passions (Xavier- music and piano, Elke- cooking) and our bias for contact and teaching are the basis of this project family oriented. Our respective profession (Xavier- sales engineer / Elke- Energy consultant in germany) inspired our choices: green energy (heating walls covered with clay, Wood & Solar thermal energy. We are both focused by nature on hopitality, quality and your comfort.
Xavier MARQUEZE & Elke COLLART purchased this cottage in 2011
Why Xavier MARQUEZE & Elke COLLART chose St Vincent de Cosse
Xavier: from Bordeaux, I've always been fascinated by the great Perigord heritage, and it's life sweetness
Elke: from Gummersbach near Cologne, twinned with La Roche sur Yon (Vendée), I've spent all my youth holidays in west of France; choosing Perigord was yhe natural result of my 2 passion (French culinary art, and history)
We immediately fell in love with this ancient path relai from 16th century and it's spirit; it was moreover perfectly suited for families with children.
Le Coustaty is the culmination of complementary aspirations and cultures, but also th perfect and true happiness
What makes this cottage unique
Near from all the major touristic point of interest, 15 mn from Sarlat, a short walk away from Dordogne River, and at hiking paths crossing, greenspace (2 acres), quiet place, view over the 'Truffes' (mountains on the North reducing cold winds), Comfort, a bar for tourists, an authentic historic and preserved place.
We definitively wanted this location in the center of 'Périgord Noir' less than 15 kms from dozens of touristic points of interest all along Dordogne and Vézère valleys, an close to all transport routes.
The big difference here with other sites we have visited is the capacity to receive families and groups indoor or outdoor.
Comfort , equipments, high quality services, are the resut of our personnal investment and 9 months renovation.
