Villa Blue Infinity is one of the best-located, best-constructed and best-finished rental properties in the Greek islands. The location is front-line on a promontory in eastern Crete which juts out into the Bay of Mirabello - so named by the Venetians because of its stunning beauty - so the sea views are, as the name suggests, infinite. Equally impressive are the mountains which create a dramatic backdrop. The setting is very much one of natural magnificence, toally befiting for that small exclusive wedding or renewal of vows. The villa itself is of a sturdy yet elegant aesthetic with a clean, modern and almost minimalistic interior. Floors are of Austrian oak and limestone tiles. Kitchen appliances are German and fittings Italian. Bed linen is 400 threadcount Egyptian cotton. The 50m2 infinity pool and the expanse of terrace are the crowning features of the villa. Eat freshly-grilled fish, laze under the pergola, soak up the sun - this is the ultimate luxury vacation villa.

Villa Blue Infinity is located five minutes drive from the village of Istron which has an abundance of tavernas, shops, mini-markets and the general amenities for daily living (bakery, ATM etc.). One of the best beaches in eastern Crete, Voulisma, is within two minutes drive of the villa. Also within easy driving distance is the town of Agios Nikolaos where the port and marina are the base for day trips to a variety of locations including the island of Spinalonga. Cosmopolitan Elounda is only a short distance further and has spa facilities, elegant restaurants and a nine-hole golf course. Istron is the perfect base for exploring eastern Crete. Drive east to the palm forest at Vai or cross the island at its narrowest point - a 15 minutes drive to Ierapetra on the south coast facing the Libyan sea. The plateau of Lassithi with the birthplace of Zeus is also within easy reach. Or simply stay at the villa to enjoy the luxury of our 50m2 pool and laze on the terrace in the sun.

Additional information about rental rates

  • We require a 20% deposit on booking with the balance payable eight weeks prior to arrival unless the booking is within eight weeks of arrival in which case the full amount is payable on booking.

    The rate includes maid service for three hours a day seven days a week.
  • We also offer a wide range fo other services which are payable locally. The maid will provide and prepare breakfast using fresh local ingredients at a price which covers the cost of ingredients plus a €10 service charge. We also can provide a catering service, massage and a range of excursions - all of which are agreed locally with the villa manager.

  • Both the bathrooms and the cloakroom have limestone floors and walls. The sanitary fittings are all Italian. The master bathroom has a large walk-in shower with glass door and large overhead shower unit. It is perfect for luxuriating under at the start of the day or to freshen up in the evening before heading out for dinner. Twin basins allow 'him' and 'her' to have their own space! The limestone tiles are cool underfoot and there is external ventilation so the room is never too hot. An extensive mirror and chrome fittings round off the luxury. The spacious family bathroom also has the same cool limestone tiles and has a bathtub with a shower unit. All the fittings are the same standard as the master bathroom with a big basin, mirror and toilet. Upstairs, in the main living area, a cloakroom is located next to the French windows which lead to the terrace. Here we have a good supply of reading material for guests who want to linger!

  • All bedrooms have full air-conditioning and open onto a terrace which fronts a small lawned area and opens up to breathtaking, panoramic sea views: visitors lie in bed and gaze out across the Gulf of Mirabello. Extensive storage for clothes and personal belongings is provided in all three bedrooms. All the bedrooms have fly screens allowing guests to sleep in the cool night air if preferred to air-conditioning. The master bedroom has a large double bed and an en-suite bathroom with twin basins and a walk-in shower. The second bedroom has twin beds and shares a large 'family bathroom' with the third, single bedroom. In the family bathroom there is a bathtub with shower. All bed linen and towels are top quality Egyptian cotton. Guests are provided with robes and slippers. At Villa Blue Infinity the emphasis is on providing a standard of luxury to rival or exceed the best hotels and the sleeping quarters achieve this - you should get the best night's sleep of your life here!

Notes: Villa Blue Infinity has been designed for the enjoyment of discerning adults who wish to enjoy the highest standards of luxury in a peaceful environment. All the fixtures and fittings are the very best quality to complement the breathtaking location and to provide the ultimate all-round villa experience. We believe that children under 12 are not best suited to stay at the villa. While there are no safety issues (other than the standard risks associated with a swimming pool which is over 2m deep at one end) we expect our guests will want to relax and not have to spend their time ensuring that their children are not up to mischief! So while we do not have an absolute rule, and would willingly discuss with you whether or not the villa is suitable for your children, our general policy is only to welcome the over-12s. The villa is 'upside down'! Living space and pool is on the upper level while the sleeping quarters are on the lower level - a traditional Greek arrangement.

Golf: The island's 18-hole course is located around one hour's drive from the villa - as a day's excursion it is a relaxed outing as two of our guests have already found out! The course is approximately 4km from the 'National Road' and is an easy drive from the villa. Combine a round with a drive up to the nearby plateau of Lassithi and back to the villa via a delightful mountain road which descends to Agios Nikolaos and back to Istron. A 9-hole course is found in Elounda at one of the luxury hotels there. Full details are available in the villa.

Swimming at Villa Blue Infinity offers three main options. We have a 50m2 infinity pool which most guests find it difficult to stray too far from but within five minutes walk from the villa is a private swimming platform for those who enjoy going in the crystal clear waters of the Bay of Mirabello. Or if lying on a sandy beach is the preferred option, a 3 minute drive takes you to the beautiful Voulisma beach - one of the best in eastern Crete.

The location is stunning with glorious views over the bay to the mountains beyond. Whilst only a short drive from Istron village this is a place to get away from it all, It is wonderfully quiet. The villa is extremely well appointed, very comfortable and stylishly furnished, and with an infinity pool. The guest information and services are excellent. A place to chill out, and use as a base to explore the area by car if you can bear to leave the beauty of the villa and its gardens.

This villa more than lived up to the high expectations created by the website. The position is second to none, with a glorious high vantage point and a totally secure environment. The fittings, furnishings and equipment are of the highest standard and leave nothing to be desired. The nearby village has an authentic Greek charm and Aghios Nicolaus is within easy reach. We had a wonderful week and will return.
