You'll feel right at home in this fully equipped, tastefully decorated, immaculately clean condo in a beachfront development on beautiful Sanibel Island, and the beach is just steps from your front door. Enter this 2nd floor (1st floor European) condo into a spacious living room with cable TV, DVD/VCR/CD players, and a queen-size sofa bed. There is a separate dining area with glass doors leading onto a large screened porch where you can dine while admiring beautiful views of the beach. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cookware, coffee-maker, etc., and has a refrigerator/freezer, electric range/oven, dishwasher, and microwave. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, TV, and its own bath with shower. There is another screened porch off the master bedroom overlooking the beautifully landscaped grounds. The second bedroom has two twin beds. Both bedrooms have large closets and plenty of storage space. There is another full bath with tub next to the second bedroom.

Sanibel is a very special Florida island on the Gulf of Mexico with miles of unspoiled beaches and bicycle paths, the Ding Darling National wildlife preserves, great local shopping and restaurants, and no high-rise buildings. . .not even one traffic light!. Golf, boat rentals, fishing charters, and many other activities are also available on the island. A nominal charge gives visitors access to the Sanibel Public Library, where you can use a computer and take advantage of the the library's large collections of books, Dvds, videotapes, Cd's, games and puzzles. So come to Sanibel and stay in our condo! We're sure you'll love it here as much as we do.

Sanibel Sanctuary May 2008!

The apartment is as described and as displyed in photographs. It is literally 70 steps from the beach! Fabulous. Spotlessly clean and well maintained with everything you need in the kitchen - equipment, coffee filters, washing up liquid, dishcloths, tea towels and dishwasher tablets. Everyday in the complex we saw workmen keeping on top of everything. Reception staff were great and really friendly.

Janine the owner was exceptionally helpful when I asked questions about the complex, local wildlife, restaurants nearby etc and replied really promptly - a great owner! We have already recommended Sanibel and this property to family/friends and we have only been back for 4 days!

If you want a lively holiday with clubs and bars then this is not the holiday for you. Sanibel is a haven of peace and tranquility - you can relax, watch the pelicans and ospreys grab lunch, see endangered bird species (snowy plover and chicks - cute), gather shells - this was all spotted in the first 2 hours of our arrival! I was also lucky enough to swim with a wild dolphin who came into the bay to bask in the warm water - a very special experience! We saw spectacular sunrises on the beach right in front of the apartment and travelled to Captiva (on Janine's advice - great tip!) to see the fabulous sunsets - always accompanied by a round of applause by those watching. If you go to the Mucky Duck pub in Captiva village to do this as opposed to the beach you will get live music outdoors and great atmosphere.

In terms of other nightlife The Jacaranda serves wonderful food and has a seperate bar with live music. This was lively on Saturday evening with everyone in high spirits! Other great eating places we found were Gramma Dots on the Marina (but you have to be in before 8pm for dinner!) and the Green Flash on Captiva. Visit the Chamber of Commerce on arrival - just over the causeway - and ask for dining guide and any other help you need - the chaps there were very helpful indeed.

BEWARE - shelling on the beach is seriously addictive! I didnt think for one minute we would get hooked on this but soon enough we were doing the famous Sanibel Stoop! Everyone aged from 3 - 83 can't resist!

We booked at short notice so therefore got a great value for money.

It was really relaxing. I thought we would have used Sanibel as a base to visit other places on the mainland - we loved it so much we didnt leave once in a week!!

Very close to the beautiful beach, the condo is tastefully decorated. All necessary things are availible - only the blankets could be better (warmer and better quality).
The service in the office is friendly, all facilities okay.
We enjoyed our stay very much.
Owner's Response: We hope the new blankets we provided were more satisfactory. Thanks for staying with us!
