Sleeps 4 - 2 bedrooms - 2 bath/shower rooms

Most French apartments on the coast tend to be compact, functional and a little bland. l'Appartement Castelcap is none of those. Spacious (70 m²) and equipped to a good standard by its Anglo-American owners, guests will enjoy their holiday in comfort and style.

Residence Castelcap is in fact the site of the former coastguard's cottage.

Inside:

The apartment is dominated by a large open-plan living area comprising sofas, dining area with dining table, plus an integrated kitchen. The lounge enjoys access to the balcony with um-interrupted south west-facing sea views.

There are two good size bedrooms:

Double bed 160 cm, dressing table, bedside table. South-facing view of the beach and mountains in the distance.

Twin bedroom with 100 cm beds which can be joined to make a king size double if required. Built-in hanging space, chest of drawers, bedside table, south-facing view of the beach and mountains in the distance.

The kitchen comes fully-equipped with fridge freezer, oven & hob, microwave, dishwasher plus kettle, toaster and coffee-maker. There is a washing machine in the apartment too.

The bathroom has a spacious shower and there's a separate WC.

Guests wishing to use the wi-fi should bring their own lap-top.

As well as a DVD player there is a supply of DVDs too. The TV provides French channels only.

Outside:

Spacious balcony with chairs and table, and those great sea views of course! Watch the world go by on foot, bike or roller blades as you sip aperitifs!

One outdoor parking space is provided.

There is a ramp into the building and a lift to the apartment from the ground floor. There are no steps inside the apartment.

l'Appartement Castelcap is located on the sea-front of Capbreton just to the north of Biarritz and immediately south of the more famous surfing resort of Hossegor. This sea-front area is really bustling with lots of passers-by walking along the sea-front and stopping at one of the cafes. At ground level there a couple of cafes which offer excellent snacks & lunches - they're popular with locals. Opposite is Cap Club, a major sports rehabilitation clinic where local rugby celebrities are often spotted! There are good connections to the motorway and airport.

Apartment was excellent. Calypso, next to fishmarket, friendly, unpretentious, great for families. Good value. Bistro on Place des Basques, charming proprietor and service, lovely food and good value set menus. (Rating 4/5)
